Not getting into the debate here. There are different ways to repair that. I chose to pull the drive, pull the engine, replace the transom assembly. It never leaked a drop after that, and steering was nice and tight. Other than the expense, no regrets. Mike

I know on my 01, the 2 ignition keys were the same number, but the cabin door was a different number. I ordered 2 extras of each when I purchased the boat and put them in my safe at home. If I remember correctly, I believe I saw where the dealer, or original owner had written the key numbers...

Anthony, I do not think I jowl make a lateral move just for fewer hours. But, I am also the one that traded my 2006 Ridgeline, with 200k miles for a 2011, with 40k miles. If that size still ,fits you, then it may be a good decision. It's funny, you are afraid to work on your own boat, and I...

Anthony, Would the 260 be any larger than what you have now? Having cruised the Potomac and Chesapeake Bay in a 280 for the past 7 years, I will say it is a great size. It has a nice ride and is big enough to give you all the toys. Yes, twins are more maintenance. Instead of buying one oil...

I know I checked my Captains license, but never thought about my TWIC. How often does that have to be renewed?

I used the existing antenna, works fine. I may consider replacing it this summer if I do not sell, just because it is starting to look a little weathered. Mike

I replaced mine with a Uniden UM380, connected to my Garmin 640 GPS. The UM380 fit pretty well in the same spot.

Congrats! When you venture down below the 301 bridge, let me know. If you have an iPhone or iPad, I would recommend getting navionics, so you can familiarize yourself with the area before hand. Mike & Terri

Lost at sea for 66 Days and survives.

Exactly the reason we always push float plans when we teach boating classes. How many days was he out there till someone reported him missing, like 9?
