Gary the hacker.
I agree with Gary you can get trojans/viruses like that. But if it's just an open wifi that doesn't require any of that logging into your bank account with SSL will be pretty hard for them to get your info without installing something on your computer since it's encrypted.
Sounds like they need to close the one your using and make it deeper. There are a couple of ramps I'd like to use but I can't because I can't get enough water under the boat.
Alot of ISP's have gone to blocking port 25 when trying to connect to email services outside of the ISP's network.
I run a webhosting company and we provide our customers an alternate port. We use 587 which is the standard alternate port but your ISP for the email might use something else or...
I can understand that, how far are you backing in? I back in until the boat floats or the rear tires are almost touching the water, if I had 4 wheel drive I might get the back tires wet but I don't just cause I'm worried they could slip when wet, specially when pulling the boat out.
That said...
:) I based my respond on what SeaRay says not because the fact that I have one. I actually bought mine not knowing it was the best selling model SeaRay had.
I looked at the 220 first (first time boat buyer) and I went with the 240 becaue of the extra storage space.
I kinda thought I needed "Starter" batteries to start the engine. I'm actually not 100% sure what they are all I know for sure is they were marine and I got them at West Marine.
So far it seems AGM might be overkill for a 240 Sundeck but I do know I'd rather have something maint. free.
I'm actually suprised that you guys with the 185 and 190 have the same bunk issue as I do with my 240.
If yo udon't get the trailer deep enough yes you will have loads of problems unloading and loading specially if trying to do it alone.
When I find a ramp that doesn't let me get the...
Ok you battery experts. So my boat (batteries) sat about a year with no use. I finally got a chance to get away from work to check them out and according to the battery charger they are both sulfated and have about 1.5v of charge on them. I replaced them last year before I had to go away for...
Like I said I don't remember what to low is. I do remember thinking it was very low when mine was working but MarineMax said low at idle is normal. I think that if your temperature is staying in the normal range you probably don't have any problems.
I think it's pretty low at Idle but it's been soon long since I've used my boat I can't remember.
Reguarding the Water Pressure Sensor and the PITOT sensor I have an 2006 240SD and I've had them replace the sensors 10 times and they both still fail. On one visit from service they replaced...
As I said in my original post, I will be purchasing the PRO Mariner that is on sale at West Marine (as soon as I convince them to take my coupon they sent me) It's normally $139.99 but on sale 30% off right now. That with the coupon and the reward dollars I have it's definitly time to buy one...
Thanks for the feedback guys. That's why I posted, I wasn't aware of the maintenance free marine batteries but that sounds like what I should be looking at.
I am guessing Deka is a brand. Yea I'm not like Chuck whom camps on his 240SD :) I might be gone all day but never over night. That...
In my 2006 240 Sundeck I have the 2 battery setup both are the same and were purchased from Westmarine last year. Both require me to put distilled water in them (They are called wet acid batteries right?)
Forgive my lack of battery knowlege but that's why I'm here for all of you experts to...
