the problem is that they hace a cardboard core that will soak humidity.... I replaced my tambour cutting a bamboo carpet. After 5 years they still slide perfectly.

Savero, I guess you are talking about the cabin floor! The cockpit is Flexiteek!
Yes, it's a kind of teak plywood. Never a problem with splinters, it's quite robust and totally waterproof. I would never hose it down as water would seep underneat it.
I'm totally with you! Where is the sun in the new Sundancers? ...It's true that the open expresse become an enclosed coupe and this is the worse of the European design. I've always loved the american expresses for having large cockpits and lots of room to entertain and sit wit a clear view of...
Nice mod Al! I think I will go for it...plus the fan stop Ken and I already made!
I have a new unit with digital controls in the salon and there's not comparison with the old knob control!
my shaft broke without any warning too, but this happened some 10 hours after installing the 4 blade props.
I really believe the original shafts are somewhat under sized... I now have 45 mm (1.77") Aquamet 22.
Looks nice Al... almost a time warp! All that wood and carpet really brings back to the eighties
...and this would be the perfect go-fast companion :
