Salon TV No Power - 2008 Dancer

Hello.....like time to post but I guess maybe that's a good thing since everything has been pretty well this season!! Anyway, having an issue with the 23" LG LCD TV in the salon of my '08 Dancer. Basically....no power. I took it down and tested the AC line coming in to the TV and nothing...

Some Insight On a Bottom Issue Please

The job is done! I had seen her after the minor repair work on the chines at the bow and whomever did it must have been an artist....it was flawless!! Nothing like seeing a bottom that looked close to brand new. Anyway, got the call last week that everything was finished so I went down to...

Some Insight On a Bottom Issue Please

Hey there guys....so Sea Ray made a decision after seeing the pictures and estimate. They are reimbursing me $1,100 which is the cost of the sand blasting on the estimate, and basically about one third of the total bill. In fact, I received the check yesterday. I have to give them alot of...

Some Insight On a Bottom Issue Please

Quick update......I took pictures of the bottom and emailed them to my contact at Sea Ray....her response; "I reviewed these and asked for other eyes to also view them for their input. I would like to review the estimate given to you by whomever you have chosen to complete this work." The...

Some Insight On a Bottom Issue Please

Thanks guys....I knew I'd get some great information on this topic! For the record, she was delivered new in April 2009 and repainted in the Spring of 2011 so we aren't talking about the original paint that is now four years old. I'll keep you posted as to what direction I end up going in.

Some Insight On a Bottom Issue Please

Hoping to get some experiences from the board with this type of issue. My '08 330DA was just hauled for the winter. Before I could even get to the yard to see her on the hard, I received a call from Northeast Fiberglass who got my number from the marina. Instead of returning his call, I went...

260 Sundancer Thread.........Comments questions and answers

Going to depend on where; North Shore or South Shore? Indoor or outdoor storage? Do you plan on having the outdrive pulled? Do you want to shrink wrap her? The list goes on and on. In terms of basic storage, I'm on the North Shore and my marina charges $42 a foot on the hard. I'm guessing the...

    Deka Batteries

Okay folks.......was away on vacation for two weeks hence the delay!!! Went to see the marina owner's niece, who runs the office, last Friday. She had received my very detailed email about this situation. I showed her the documentation from East Bay Manufacturing showing what they would sell...

    Legacy Warranty Extension?

For what it's worth, I will very rarely purchase an extended warranty for anything......and over the past say twenty plus years I know I'm ahead of the game financially. That said, when I traded my '04 300DA in 2008 for a new 330DA, I didn't hesitate buying the $6K Captains Class extended...

    I/O or V Drive?

Sorry guys but all this talk about 'getting out of trouble', 'hull on the bottom', 'get out of a jam', etc. makes me wonder where you guys are boating and why are you boating there? Seems most of you are in decent size boats that aren't inexpensive to acquire or maintain. Even with the 300DA I...

    Deka Batteries

Really??? Did you just say that to another New Yorker?? :) Many have been down a similar road at my marina with the manager....in fact, most of us aren't quite sure exactly why the owner keeps him around. Anyway, going directly to the owner typically yields a good outcome for us. And as far...

    Deka Batteries

Another update: The gal who writes up service at my marina just called me back. The manager, who is a complete A hole, said I can pay them to remove the batteries, buy them myself, and then pay them to reinstall!!! Now you think he might have mentioned, when he first called me to let me know...

Should be easy for the mechanic!! Good luck!!

dashboard lights not working on new boat

Could well be the bulbs if one does light up. I'd try removing one of the gauge lenses first....try gently unscrewing the ring around the glass. Don't force it. If it does come off, from there you might be able to pull the gauge out, very gently and get behind it. These are backlit so the bulb...

first big boat drive - need trim input.

LOL.....I'm in!!!! Its a great trip and I can only imagine how nice it is on a great day vs the small craft advisories I've been in!! I keep threatening to take mine down to my office for a couple of nights at the World Financial Center. I can dock at North Cove which is right behind my...

dashboard lights not working on new boat

You shouldn't have to replace bulbs on a new boat. Call your dealer and have them check fuses, etc.
