It's been 10 years and it's time to replace the canvas on our 280DA. We've received a estimate of $4500 to replace the canvas which includes the camper rear, a new slant top, and higher quality front windows (3) (isinglass). Is $4500 in the ballpark or should we continue to shop around...

Runs fine when plugged into the household power. The boat is connected to shore power that is connected to the house.

After resetting my GFI, I plugged in the space heater. The heater promptly started smoking. I plugged in heater inside the house---no problem; heats up fine. What's my likely problem and how do I troubleshoot/repair? Thanks Sent from my mwp6985 using Board Express

To close this thread, the septic filter was clogged because we had waited too long to vacuum. The clogged filter caused a vapor lock and preventing the system from drawing effluent from the toilet to the septic tank. Sent from my mwp6985 using Board Express

Sorry, forgot to mention that I did replace the muffler.

It seems likes it's working now for the most part. The boat can actually sense when I'm doing a 180 turn to begin my docking procedure to immediately shut off the starboard engine but only intermittently. Oh well.

Thank you. Is there a gel coat repair kit that I can use to seal up the crack before it gets too bad? Should I have a specialist take a look at it first?

I noticed yesterday a small circular crack on the top of the non-stick surface of the bow. What is best way to repair? Is presure washing this surface advisable? Thanks

I replaced the IAC and everything seemed fine....for awhile. The starboard engine idled fine until we got close to the dock and then it decided to shutoff and not to re-start.

Thanks. I'll give the IAC replacement a try tomorrow. My wife has multiple outtings planned for the weekend so I'm going to be (back) in doghouse if I don't get this resolved.
