I'm in Boomsite 5th year its the first Marina on the St Croix doesn't offer much but it is as protected as you can get and very private. I thought about switching to St Croix Marina I just like the privacy of Boomsite besides at a little over $3,000 the price is right. I grew up on Lake...
Dropping to 40 for highs on the weekend kind of depressed about it, 80 for a high today but that's MN for ya.
Taking my parents on long overnight cruise pops is 72 so just looking at options for heat.
People seem to use these in a closed tent or boat I'm just not so sure on these but seem to...
It's going to be a cold weekend in Mn this weekend and I know people use Mr Heaters in their tent just curious if anybody has used one while underway only under canvas?

Thanks for posting the video good job I like the river music. I boat from Stillwater to Pepin I haven't been down that far south yet just around a 100 miles. I hope you stopped at the Harbor Bar across from Red Wing it can be pretty interesting there.
I had some work done and he mentioned I may have to get the carb rebuilt but would try tuning it first which they did. Currently the port engine when warming up will drop RPM's and then die a few times. Once the engine is warmed up everything is fine but was wondering if the carb can cause...
These are kind of expensive but they work great and out of the way. Usually you can find them used on Craigslist. Boating where I do I wouldn't own a boat without one.

In answer to the questions about the ladder, I strap it along...
Didn't have an issue with it after the log strike just when I launched it last week.
The lower unit moves up and down just fine but when the unit is lowered all the way down it's still showing that it's about 2 degrees trimmed up on the gauge. It's just seems like the gauge is off but I...
Unfortunately I had to replace the lower unit this winter I hit an underwater log last summer. Last week I launched and noticed the trim gauge doesn't go down all the way on port engine that the lower unit was replaced. To me it seems the gauge needs to be adjusted but the service department...
What would it cost roughly to just replace the isinglass?
The fabric and zippers are in good shape but the yellow discoloration where the frame was touching the glass is killing me.
Thanks

It probably is algae and its staining the platform but the stain is a b**th to get out. White vinegar seemed to help the waterline some but there are spots on the hull and swim platform that I can't get out its frustrating me.
Yes, used bleach last year it helps but some spots just wont get...
My swim platform seems to get a green stain every year. I have used soft scrub and acetone but it still has a green stain from the water. Can I use muriatic acid on the platform without damaging it? I have never used the stuff so just being careful.
Thanks

Does anybody have any experience using a Cyclo polisher for boats. A professional detailer said he would sell it for $100.00 with a ton pads. Seems to be a good deal but have never seen one in action.
Thanks

I boat on a river and would like a chart plotter to help with night navigation and to mark some safe points in a few trouble areas. I would to find one that is intuitive any suggestions or is that too small of a price point?
I hit submerged log at plane and during winterization they discovered metal bits in the gear lube on the port engine and they also said they might have to rebuild the carburetor on the starboard engine which was running rough. Any suggestions on what I'm in for?
The girlfriend thought I was...
Every time the head is flushed an unpleasant smell is coming out the vent. I am assuming the charcoal or whatever is in the filter is used up and needs to be replaced so I went to West Marine and they wanted $100.00 for one filter. I’m hoping there is a better place to go and seeing if...
Previous owner has some sort of hard goo on the railings I have been trying to get off with goo gone with little affect. It's also on the shore power cord.
Wondering if the acetone will affect the metal rail or if some one has a better I idea?
