Holy crap ... I sure wish I lived near you so I could drag my boat over to your place. Thanks for the great post! I'm not a mechanic but I certainly appreciate the in-depth information. I wish I had something that I could post that you (or anyone) would find interesting but sadly I'm not near...
It was interesting to read about tires in here and then in the RV and airstream forums. Here is a good explanation that might come in handy when looking at tires, their reserve capacity, etc.

I don't have experiences with both but we do own a 2002 F350 Superduty 7.3L 4x4 lariat w/crewcab. We bought it used a couple years ago and I would like to mention a couple things that have been touched upon here.
We had no problems with the truck at all until I chipped it up. At that point...
Hi Jeff, we have a 1987 Sorrento S24. You are correct, there isn't a lot of information floating around out there that isn't already in this forum.
I see that you have the camper canvas on yours in your signature picture. It wouldn't happen to have a manufacturer tag or plate somewhere on it...
Well, a quick check did come up with a couple hits.

another interesting link was for a kit for a bimini top. While not a camper top it might allow for a jumpstart on a larger project. there may be a lot of other links but that was a...
Just a quick update. I'm still looking and getting some quotes. I've also learned a few things from the other threads about how a bimini top may already have the zippers installed to hang the sides, etc., as mentioned in this thread...
I'm still looking myself. No luck yet. I occasionally see them advertised with used boats so I might see if those owners might be willing to part out the camper enclosure. But if I do find anything I will make sure that I post my results back here.

Indiana side. Little town of Hanover just up river a bit. We were just outside of Hanover. Always liked the Kentucky side though - real pretty area especially in the river valley.
Ah, the Madison Regatta. Madison was about 10 minutes away from where we lived and we always enjoyed the boat races (and that was 25 years ago).
Wow. I feel old now. :smt001

Glad to see it was a joke but Ido have some advice for anyone else in that sort of position. I've lent money over the years and I generally steer them towards individual P2P (person to person) lending sites like Prosper.com or zopa.com.
The individual has to register and do a write-up on...
I would agree. As a guy who has just bought his first introductory SeaRay (new to me but used) starter boat for the family, I would look at the price difference and have to think that despite a probable quality difference, 120k buys a lot of upgrades and modifications especially if you are...
The price per watt has definitely plunged in the last year or so due to a variety of new technologies and manufacturing techniques being brought online. Now that solar is no longer confined to rigid infrastructure the installation costs are going to crater as well.
Another interesting...
Not that anyone is even monitoring this but just in case it turns up in a future search I found the links that could be interesting for putting up solar canvas and making it dual function.
overview can be found here:

and the actual company and some...
I know this is a long dead thread but I wanted to comment on the flex solar sewn on canvas. There are products out now that have it. The military uses them on medium sized tents with an approximate output of about 2kw. I'll root around to see if I can dig up the product link. It was all...
