Mike,
We're looking for something just like this. It would fit my 26' fine. If you don't mind, how much and where did you purchase? How hard was it to put up? Also, I see your installation is on a slight grade - did you have to excavate to keep the baseline level or are the legs different...
My favorite weekend of the year. Check out fellow CSR member Steve David's qualifying run from onboard the Oberto: http://www.h1unlimited.com/2011/08/albert-lee-cup-at-seafair-saturday-aug-6-2011/. The practice run aboard the 88-Degree Man is also pretty cool. Go fast, turn left.... Oooo...
I think I notice it the worst when I go up to the marina head and stand at the urinal. Trying to jet-stream that cig butt is much harder when you're rocking from side to side. As said, it usually lasts a couple of days and then slowly recedes. I like the idea of a boating prescription...
Lats and Atts is mostly for blowhards. Been a member there and they don't look too fondly on us "stinkpotters". Good info though and they do put on one hell of party - http://threesheetsnw.com/blog/archives/3830

Follow our favorite Unlimited Hydroplane driver (and fellow CSR member Steve David) live in High Def next week as he goes for the championship in Doha, Qatar. Web streaming will begin at 5 AM EST on Thursday 11/18 for all you early risers. The schedule is posted at...
Another Buffett reference: Our first "real" boat was a Stingray 180 something and we had many great times on it while our boys were still little. We just called it Ray although it wasn't officially named. When we bought our Sea Ray, we decided to stick with the Ray thing but being Parrotheads...
Yep, that'd be me: http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35143
Haven't had the $$ to try any solutions yet but am trying ignition stuff first. Could be fuel but we ran all day the day before my knocking started and it ran fine. Still looking for an opinion on what my auto guy...
Maybe rain accumulating in the anchor locker? Mine sometimes will have a bit of moisture on the v-berth cushions after a hard rain. Cracks are worrisome though.

Hey Wayne, sorry you're not feeling well. Maybe an Indian Summer is in store in your parts and you just might still get a few boating days in. I'm counting on it here in the PNW so my slip fee isn't wasted waiting for parts. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I took my mechanic (auto) friend out for a ride to listen to the noise this morning and here's his conclusion: Ignition. He said it sounds like the port side rear cylinder is not getting enough spark when it reaches into the 2k range. He explained how the parts inside rely on that firing of the...
That green type is not rated for drinking and like someone said, will leach lead or chemicals into the water. Most food grade are white and will say so on the pack. I found mine at Walmart and it is the type with three hollow channels and rolls up flat without having to squeeze out the water...
Ok, new facts:
Knocking (actually more of a clatter) does NOT occur when in neutral. Ran it up to 3000 RPM and no noise. The drive oil reservoir was below the line by about an inch and a half so I added to the line. I had filled the reservoir a couple of weeks ago so it's either leaking or...
Nope, single contact. I wasn't able to switch the wires as they are crimped coming out of the bulkhead and then soldered into the switch and bulb base. I'll have to bring the solder iron and some new 'crimpable' connectors. Maybe tomorrow night. Can anyone offer advice on whether I can cut and...
No, will do that tonight in order to listen with the screwdriver. No one responded to my question about revving it to 2 grand in neutral so I assume it's ok.

A guy who used to own a garage (who also happens to be my current boss) said it might be a bearing in one of the cylinders. He's a small boat guy (Boston Whaler) and thought if I just idle around, wouldn't hurt it. I'm skeptical and don't want to make matters worse. I 'spose we could just sit on...
Ok, I guess it's more of a clack-clack than a knock then. Since it only starts making the noise at 2000, is it ok, to rev that high in neutral? Otherwise, I might end up with a screwdriver handle dent in the side of my head when the admiral hits a wave and we bounce.
