270 is a performer - with reasonable maintenance costs- if your taking a lot of long trips bigger may be better. But if your plans include more short ones, the fuel economy alone on the 270 will get your attention 2mpg vrs about 1 on the 29.
Fuel burn and at 4k is dead on. :smt038
I ran all day at this speed from Charleston, SC to Hilton Head via IC can say 1.9 mpg was realized.
I use very little trim (one on smartcraft gauge) and actually cruise around 3.7k. I enjoy the deep vee in heavy chop, feels solid and is predictible.
I would agree, the extra space in the cockpit by not having all the addtional built in seating is great. I get many comments when at the dock that the space is similar to much bigger boats.
I can fish (fishing package installed) or cruise....the deeper vee too gives a great ride
Not before the dealer touched up the paint, we are going to try a wait and see approach....guess I will have to trust them...I am surprised that paint has chipped based on the touted painting process
I can take some pictures over the weekend. The dealer has stated the he was going to push for drive replacement. Should know more by next week. Until then, I will be on the water!
