I looked at a few of the online forsale sites for a rough average of asking prices, and these are not in line with NADA at all for a 2003 300da. I talked to a broker and he wanted to rely heavily on the NADA. My wife says to keep it rather than give it to the bottom feeders who may be the only...
First of course, is, how bad is the market, now that spring is here, does anyone have a better outlook for this years market than they had predicted it would be last fall.
Selling details, concerns for scams and fraud with Money orders etc. This is something that I am worried about that is...
At cruise speed, I would say no. At WOT, yes.
I think miles per gallon are determined by the boat speed, and the boat. As long as the boat speed is reasonably lower than the boats max speed for a given engine.
For example, if a boat/engine have a top speed of 50 mph, and you are...
I have an '03 with twin 350mags. I dont know what top speed is, I have had it going about 43, and many times into the mid/high 30s. I typically drive one of 2 speeds,
a) ~1100 rpms @ 6 - 7 mph
b) ~3300 rpms @ 29 - 33 mph
anything between there is the forbidden zone, as shown in the boat...
I have 8 lines
2 fenders attached to the dock aft of the boat
2 fenders attached to the dock, low and about 10' from the aft end of the boat
2 fenders hanging from the boat horizontally, both forward sides
2 fenders hanging from the boat, both aft sides
Redundancy everywhere, Im in a...
my 2 starboard batteries are in parallel
my 2 port batteries are in parallel
The only way to cross (sort of) between the 2 pairs is via the "emergency start" button on the dash. This solenoid has access to both battery banks.
Well, at least this is my understanding of the wiring...
thanks, I have not been so bold to test them away from the docks. Without reviewing the electrical schematics ( :smt017 ) I dont know if both refrigs will drain both battery pairs. I wish sea ray would have designed in a feature where all batteries cant be drained, or been more clear about...
How long do you think the 4 batteries can run the 2 fridges and the stereo. I am always worried while on the hook and run the generator periodically if I dont have it on already.
Im thinking about doing a test overnight at the dock so I can recharge with shorepower the next day.
I think the 60da at lake of the ozarks was damaged in the ice/dock storm. Another one is supposed to be coming too - going to Busch - the beer guy.
One question I think popped up before, but I cant find it. Searay says this is the biggest sundancer ever, wasnt there a 630 before. I know...
Just recently a 30+ formula was stolen, stripped clean of anything of value, engines, outdrives, dash, etc. Then holes drilled in the hull and rocks put in the cabin. Problem was that the boat still had enough floatation built in that it did not sink.
This sea ray was taken from very close...
I use both, but for really turning the boat in a short amount of time, the wheel is the way to go, and maybe with only one outdrive engaged.
I whole heartedly agree, in my 300, with IOs, the boats CG and the pivot point of the outdrives are too far apart that one engine fwd and one engine...
I suggest a large serving of Kashi high fiber cereal to keep things lubbed up
I have not used the head much, more now that my 4 year old is 4 years old, and does not know what "hold it" means. Last year she was not using the toilet much. We dont overnight, and are in the water...
Finally I got back to the boat. 3 weekends with other obligations right in the heart of spring :smt013
Well, I removed the hose from the pump assy to the holding tank, it was dry. Then I removed the next easiest component, the housing for the duckbill valves. They did not appear to be...
bummer if it hits Avalon.
It is one of our favorite locations in California, and the most favorite related to boating. Hence, we named our boat "Catalina Bound"
I have not bought anything from them, but I used them for hauling a boat from StL to LOTO, they came well recommended and they did a good job for me. Thats all I can add.
My cockpit fridge is not controlled by any panel switch. I have to turn it off inside of the unit or by the main battery switches. I dont use the small, hard to reach and see on/off/temp control switch inside the switch so I rely on the battery switches. One time I forgot to turn off the batt...
I have and use the cockpit cover. I could not imagine using anything else. During the season, I dont use any side curtains and those are rediculous to install as a cover. The cockpit cover rolls up quite small and there are no handling concerns like there are with the eisenglass.
I...
