Anyone experiencing frequent breakage with the help switches for lights, acc, etc.?
2007 260 Sundancer. Four have broken. All at the thread. My guess is the heat/sun exposure weakens the plastic.
Any ideas on how to keep this from happening, or changing all the switches to something more...
I believe the solution to this has finally been found... bad pressure sensor on the raw water side. It's the small round sensor connected to the heat exchanger with 2 cables to it. Specially in dirty or salt water, the sensors malfunctions (gets dirt or corrosion in it) and tells the generator...
Is there more than one beach at Boca Chita? I've visited twice and both times have gone to the beach due east of the harbor. If you look at Boca Chita in Google Maps, it's basically a straight walk east from the harbor. The water is clear and the coral/stones not too bad, but you do need...
If I can find original/perfect match, that's my first choice. But I'm open to alternatives if price or availability become an issue. No luck on eBay. Haven't called MM yet.
The hatch lift switch on my panel broke. The switch still operates, but it's now loose. The black thread broke in the middle.
The part from the Parts Manual is:
1757313 SWITCH, TOGGLE CHR W/BLU IND DPDT W/REV CIR
Before I call MM to inquire about a cost, could I simply use an On/Off...
Do you have a single 30 AMP shore connection or 2? Some boats have two (two separate circuits). One dedicated to the AC and the other for the rest, for example. Maybe you are only connecting one, or turning the switch only for one?
I'm also on 3900 RPM when running. May go down to 3700 or so, or as high as 4100 or so, but normally under 4000. You can usually hear the difference in sound between under 4000 and above 4000.

I have a 5ECD on a 260 and the exhaust port is for a 2 inch ID hose and I believe I have a CENTEK INDUSTRIES Vernalift Muffler.
Hope this helps.

On my last outing, my generator shut down while cruising at idle. The error code was UU, which is undervoltage (I believe at the source batteries). It sat for a while then I got LOC error code, which is loss of coolant (no leaks or actual loss).
I took the impeller out and one vane was...
Two suggestions: (1) you can adjust the fan speed on the blower. The default for low is still pretty strong, but you can go into "program mode" and change that as well. I did it on mine and it works nicely. They recommended not setting it too low b/c it may cause the AC to freeze when cooling...
Also, if you are interested, you can connect the SmartCraft blackbox to the Navman to display engine SmartCraft data.
On mine I have a NorthStar GPS (same as a Navman) connected to my NorthStar NS100 VHF via NMEA, and I also added the SmartCraft Gateway between the GPS and the engine.

The factory option is to install it on top of the fwd AC vent (next to the locker). Search the forum. I think DaveS has a photo of this. I believe the factory option is a tv only at this spot, with the actual dvd player installed next to the Clarion stereo.
I have a friend who installed a 15...
Define "showing wear." After 3 weeks, they should show "not like new," but I would say less than 20% wear.
The mercathode system is an add-on for Bravo drives. It comes in two versions, an older "puck" system that you install on the hull next to each drive, and a newer style which installs on...
Best route is to go custom with your local canvas shop. Consider the hardware that you will need to install and have in place, and also a place to store the additional side panels.
I'm not against camper tops, but do recommend thinking twice about it on this size boat.
I don't know how the...
