My '87 Dancer 250 is the same setup as Stevea661's...all stock from the factory.

I'm not sure how long you'd have to wait, but if you have to put the cover on, put some wax paper between the wood and the cover (at least until it's not tacky anymore).

I have a 1987 Sundancer 250. My top over the helm needs to be re-waterproofed. It allows water to drip onto the top of the dash, down the joint at the back and into the head where it finds the drain to the step down pump.

Yes, I've trimmed up/down and that's the best I got. This weekend I'll see what max RPMs I get in neutral to see if there's any difference while not under load.

I just looked up the Sea Ray prop chart and it lists a 16x13 prop. I presume this would be 16" 13pitch?

I just got the boat a month ago, it had been in storage for about 1.5 to 2 years. The RPMs were lower until I discovered the trim wasn't adjusted (the person who put the boat in the water for me didn't get the drive all the way down). Adjusting the trim brings RPMs to a max of 4000. The only...

I'm mainly looking for a replacement as this one is a little beat up. I'm not sure if it's the original and think the RPMs are a bit low. That being said I'm relatively satisfied with performance. A little more speed would be nice but I don't know if possible with this engine or dropping RPMs...

I believe I have a 16 pitch 3 blade aluminum (original?) on our 1987 Sundancer 250 with 230 Mercruiser Alpha 1. Any suggestions for a replacement prop for general useage?

Sea Ray's archives go back prior to 1974 BUT they skip from 1972 to 1976. I don't know what happened to 1973,4,5??? I was looking for info on a '74 model I was considering.:huh:

I had this problem and it turned out to be ethanol in the gas. I emptied fuel/water separator filter and added Marine Sta-Bil to the remaining gas (and add at every fill). Problem solved.

Does anyone know where I could find a template for a bow pulpit for a 1987 Sundancer 250? I would like to make/install one myself. I assume the factory wouldn't have a .pdf version for the factory one available?
