I'm about to order a seaview mount for my boat. How is the light bar held in place? I see there is a hole in the tower but no explanation about mounting the light bar.
Thanks.
I drilled through the bulkhead right behind the TV into the enclosed part of the helm. I put the blue ray player in the first cabinet perpendicular to the TV. Wiring from the helm to this cabinet is fairly easy. I pulled power from the starboard side of the aft cabin electrical outlet and...
The arch sits on top of the side rail of the boat. It does not extend down into the bilge. Flip open the seat right behind the helm and you should be able to see what's going on in there.
I just fed the wire down through the arch then over to the helm. It's pretty easy. I don't think going to the bilge would be much more difficult. You do not need to loosen the arch.
I used Vector and was very happy with the quality of work. I didn't get led's as they were not available at the time. I paid 400 for a 2000 340 Sundancer.
I bought a 2000 340 a couple years ago. I put about 100 Hrs. on her with no problem. I sold it this summer and the new owner did a compression check and all cylinders were 145 to 150. I've heard the same salt water claim, for fresh water it doesn't seem to be a problem. I contacted Marine...
I'm going to run the wires through the bulkhead behind the T.V. The area behind the TV is hollow and not part of the dash. It's real easy to get to as there is a panel on the lower part of the helm below the chartplotter area that allows access. I just used a regular flat tilt mount and...
I don't know the model number but it's and LED TV which is much thinner than an LCD. I used a standard tilt wall mount like you'd use at home. I mounted it through the bulkhead and had to shim the top out with washers about 1/4". I went with the Samsung because it had the best sound for a...
I have had the same experience. When the head is full you'll get as list to port. I've been trying to determine the accuracy of my gauges too. I've been using one of those little laser heat detection guns. They are cheap and most automotive parts stores cary them. There is a slight...
