Replace/upgrade LIGHT NAV MASTHEAD COMBO 24" CUST W/RADAR BND

That looks awesome…nice work! However, Im not super motivated to invest significant money and time (drilling new holes, disrupting the radar array, and potentially creating other issues) in a 24 yr old boat. I was curious about Jgoedd99’s comments though regarding a “direct replacement”...

Replace/upgrade LIGHT NAV MASTHEAD COMBO 24" CUST W/RADAR BND

Hi, Im looking for a fix for the flimsy plastic connector between the masthead light and masthead base on my 2000 380DA. Ive noted the two parts you provided links for. Im wondering though, how does the mast physically connect to the base? If we have the same factory setup, my mast connects...

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

Thx...That would make sense if the problem didn’t travel from SB to Port when i swapped the ECMs. SB is magically healed now and Port suddenly has the starting issue.

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

Yes MEFI-3. And yeah, was planning to call OBD today. Will also call my dealer and Mercruiser to see if it can be re-flashed. Was thinking i should try contact spray on the pins and connectors in case of corrosion. Not likely the result of faulty ground (or other) wires, given the problem...

Engins wont start after 3 hours

And to be clear, my issue was previously only when getting hot and sitting for a few hours. But it has progressed this year to a cold start condition as well, which makes it even more curious what problem is happening with the ECM.

Engins wont start after 3 hours

My issue was only on 1 engine...so it was easier to prove the ECM was the culprit by swapping them. I'm trying to learn what others' experience is with these 20+ yr old computers. ie. whether they commonly fail or maybe just need corroded contacts cleaned up or there's a loose wire somewhere.

Engins wont start after 3 hours

Check out my this thread....might be the same issue I was having: http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/engine-hard-starting-after-setting-few-hours.87828/page-2#post-1155185

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

As a follow up to this....not surprisingly, my starting issue got progressively worse to the point even advancing the throttle 50% would either not work or the engine would start, die, and then be flooded/unstartable for hours. Had to limp back to dock 4 times in a row on 1 engine. But then it...

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

Do you guys still think its a temperature or vapor related fuel system issue given its happening even when I haven't started my starboard engine in a few days?

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

Spoke to my mechanic....because this is now a problem even in a cold start condition, he thinks I have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The diaphragm inside the regulator may be leaking, which results in unregulated fuel pressures and fuel leaking directly into the intake manifold from the vacuum...

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

Thanks for the responses guys. I spent the last couple days with my mechanic changing a genset thermostat and also troubleshooting an electrical issue where I wasn't getting power to the starboard start/stop switch on the dash....turned out to be a blown 90amp fuse in front of the starter...

Engine hard starting after setting few hours

Just saw this....I must have the same problem...have had this happening for years! However only on the Starboard engine. The way I've lived with the issue has been to raise the throttle handle to 50%. (I recall reading somewhere - that is how you fool the computer - something to do with a...
