    Leaking Forward Hatch

Medium body pvs on the seal and close. Problem should be solved. ;) Otherwise use the suggestion above. Maybe get someone to put a hose to it while you're below to see where it's coming from?

I was boarded by the Coast Guard last week

Reading this thread made me recheck all my emerg kit, and my flares were expired. :smt009 Good thing for CSR! Replaced and we're good.

    Lifter Noise

Sounds like you wiped out a bearing. Gonna need to pull it, put on a stand, invert it, get the main/rod caps off and get a look at the bearings and journals. I'm not sure where the oil galleries are on that motor but you will defintiely need to tear it down and re-bearing it and clean out the...

    Sunk Boat Any Good?

Seems to me it would be like those cars they salvaged from Louisiana after Katrina and tried to sell. Full o' problems. I think you should take a pass unless it's SO cheap that you could refit everything and still be ahead. Just my $0.02.

    trim tabs

This is great info. I'm learning mine right now and that is VERY scary when you over-do one and the boat pulls hard to that side. Kind of like on a car when you have a front-tire blowout. Not fun. Thanks for this info Michael. Brian.

need big help asap motor down

Sounds fishy to me. If you had water in the crankcase and in the cylinders and it was in fact locked up, I think you should pull that motor and have it disassembled and have everything checked. The rods on the cylinders that filled with water could be bent, stressed, or cracked and should be...

Thinking of changing engines, question about stirngers

So where did you end up with the stalling problem you had in that other thread? Is that engine toast?

    trim tabs

I tried this on my boat to correct a slight list to port once and the boat started pulling really hard to the left. Wonder if that was too much? I'm gonna try a search like you suggested and see maybe I'm doing it improperly...

    Why are slip's so expensive?

Can't be that much worse than where I am. I think we realistically had less than 15 days of truly nice boating weather this year. El-sucko.

    Why are slip's so expensive?

Seemed like my best bet. Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question as to why it's so expensive, other than the usual "it's for a boat..."

    Why are slip's so expensive?

My marina/yacht club gets $3500 a season (which isn't long in N. Michigan.) I ended up just buying a 30' slip there, it was basically the same as renting it for 8.5 yrs and in the end I have something to show for it.

To all of you novice sea ray owners

Mine sounds like a goose with sinusitis.... Might have to check out these Autozone units. I got a look at mine from withing the anchor locker and it looked pretty corroded.

    Emerging Young Democrats

Use a 3 hybrid. I see this cavalier attitude in a lot of kids nowadays and it's disturbing. I know it's a cliche to think that 'these kids these days are out of control' but this is getting ridiculous. These snots need a serious attitude adjustment and I sure hope that whomever...
