Has anyone replaced the gasket in the Taylor Made hatch above the main stateroom?

CaptRonn, as committed (better late than never), pics of the scupper drains in the cockpit on my boatFWIW, my SB400 has 2 scupper drains in the cockpit (port and starboard (aft)), too... will try to remember to take pics when I'm on board tomorrow.
After looking through Boattrader pics, it appears the port cockpit drain was added in 2001.CaptRonn, as committed (better late than never), pics of the scupper drains in the cockpit on my boat

Wish my 98 had one. Took this pick the other day after washing mine when this question first appeared. Water pools on the port side.I'll be adding one shortly.

Drives me crazy.
Will be following on how it goes adding the second scupper for you.
Wow...that really is silly to only have one scupper. Why in the world would they do that?
I figure when they first designed the boat in 1996 the thought the gap under the transom door would work well to drain out water from the port side. After several years of owner feedback of puddling, they then improved it to add the second port side drain in 2001.Wow...that really is silly to only have one scupper. You're probably right. Mine only has the one drain on the stbd side. But I don't have any issue with pooling on the port side. It all goes right out under the transom door.I figure when they first designed the boat in 1996 the thought the gap under the transom door would work well to drain out water from the port side. That's my theory.
Hey all - quick question - has anyone replaced their salon AC unit (the 16K) in their 400? It looks like mine is bad, had a quote for 4K to replace, looks like a simple replacement. Any thoughts, advice or words of wisdom?
Thank you in advance!
Mike
$4k! WTH? Go buy it yourself for $1600 (or less) and do the swap out. It's no big deal.
I replaced mine with a Cruisair 16k turbo last year. At the time I paid $2300 from Citimarine (online) and installed it myself. Pretty straightforward removal and install. Units cost more now as they have gone through a slight redesign. Works with your existing SMX controller. If you decide to do this, give me a call Mike and I can give you more details.Hey all - quick question - has anyone replaced their salon AC unit (the 16K) in their 400? Is that for the non-turbo model? I didn't find the turbo version for that low price anywhere.$4k! WTH? Go buy it yourself for $1600 (or less) and do the swap out. It's no big deal.
