6th Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, AC, NJ

I have started the name tag process. If you have not given Ron the names of ALL OF YOUR CREW MEMBERS, they will not receive a souvenir name tag.

They will receive a crappy looking name tag, hand-written by a 3rd grader on the back of a beer box using yarn for a lanyard.

Just sayin'...

Our crew will be missing the TOGs. I have to work on Friday to pay for my gas... We plan on stay Sat-Tuesday... Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday the 14th... We may be bringing our ski buddies who boat on Lake Hoppackong... Their names' are Alex and Maggie...

Bummer Rod! See you Saturday. Will the girls be coming too, along with your friends?

Hope you guys have a great time. One day I hope to get there. However with my current ride, it'll be by air. ;) I see the guest list includes Gary/Four Suns. Thats great! I sure miss his posts here on CSR. Looking forward to your pictures from the event. Good job Ron and Rick and all the other great people who continue this tribute/rendezvous. Take care and I'll be hoping for good weather for you. Brian

I am forced to cancel. We will miss you guys.

One of our annual attendees, Captain Marc of Illuminator was speaking to the Coast Guardsmen from the station in AC and they expressed interested in doing courtesy safety checks for our attendees on Saturday July 14th. This is not designed to get you in trouble, but to get you up to snuff from a safety standpoint. I get this inspection every year and it is informative. It is completely voluntary and takes about a half hour. I don't have a start time and right now I"m just trying to gauge interest. Post here if you're interested and we'll talk more on Friday.

If you are interested in this CG safety check please make sure you have everything they are looking for. There is a good chance that if you DO NOT, they will require that you go somewhere and get it, like, that day. For example, if you have flares, but they're expired (even if by one day) you need to get new ones. If your running lights are not functional, you may be bulb shopping. This is the the standard VESSEL SAFETY CHECK by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. They make recommendations if you don't have all the stuff. The CG may not be that understanding.

Here is a link to the things they expect you to have...

So, here's the deal
Coast Guardsmen will arrive at the docks on Saturday around 10am. If you would like to get the inspection just flag one down. If you would like to pre-arrange the inspection, let me know.

Have a great trip this weekend all! I hope the weather cooperates.

Thx Ken...Hurricane Chris will miss the coast and will be in Nova Scotia by Friday morning so we should be good.

thanks Ron for the heads up on the CG Aux inspection... I would pass if all they are looking for is alcohol, but I am not sure about my flairs... I think I also need new tires and breaks... We will be arriving around 10:30/11:00 AM on Saturday if all goes well... If not, I will fire of my expired flares and hope for the best...

Rod, you're such a card.

You better run and hide when those guys walk past your boat. Esp if you have that Honda generator running whilst cooking with an open flame and streaking up and down the dock.

Some pix from our first trip back in 2009... WOW, ten years ago...

I still have the beer that Dominic gave me that year... I bring a can to spill on the dock as gesture of tribute to Dom....

We are bringing a smoked brisket and pork belly... I'm sure there is some pet pig joke on a boat joke in there somewhere...

Helen and I had a great time! Good job to everyone involved. Thank you for your hard work.

I completely forgot that I hung the "wingless" dog toy, although, unlike Gary's dogs, Burnie didn't rip the wings off this one. On the other hand, he didn't understand why his toy was there.

The 2009 trip was great and reminded me how much I miss Dom. I hope that this weekend's trip won't be the last one. We've enjoyed each one that we attended. Even better, we made new friends each time and renewed existing friendships.

Thank you Ron and Rick for all your hard work and planning!
