I have a 38 Sea Ray Sundancer (year 2000) I hate the gold knobs on the Throttles and shiffters. Anyone have a hook up for something else to replace them with ???

Google "teleflex shift knobs" and you'll see there a quite a few options.

Not to hijack, but is anyone aware of any shorter control arms that would bolt in?

I went with the ones from above, I like the feel better. I would like shorter levers also. Have yet to spot any.

I wish there was a way to lock the port side shiffters. When on a long run someone sitting there i always worry about them hitting it by accident and knocking it into Neutral, then say opps sry and putting them back... That would hurt at 3500 RPMs

Me too!

There used to be a plastic device that was white and mounted on top of the control and it acted like a detent to prevent shifting while underway. I have not seen it for a long time. It was advertised in the boating mags a long time ago in the back pages. I totally forget the name.

Is this really a problem? What kind of crazy parties you all having up there?!

Its really easy to do where they are located... I can see my self by accident knocking them into Neutral, while underway playing with Radar or GPS

I just installed a remote keypad for my mfd
for that very reason. Very easy to move them when reaching over top of them.

Just buying a 1991 350 Sundancer and its got those deteriorating black foam style shifter knobs. Does anyone have a replacement idea. I keep looking online but not much luck yet. Thanks!
