ways to 'keep your cool'.....

You could try getting a shirt from Columbia with their Omnifreeze ZERO technology. The fabric has little round circles that are sweat activated. They cool the fabric (and you) by several degrees, plus the fabric wicks the moisture to keep you cooler.

It sounds like total marketing BS, but I have a couple of these shirts and they WORK. I wore them at Disney and they saved my life. They have really expanded the options, and now offer a lot of styles; long sleeve, short sleeve, polos, t-shirts, active wear, fishing gear etc. https://www.columbia.com/technology-omnifreezezero/

thanks for the link....I ordered 3 T-shirts.....I like Columbia shirts and have a few of the 'fisherman' style shirts....hopefully these will help in the heat....

Yep - I wear the long sleeve vented shirts in the Summer. Huk is pretty popular up here. I also have a Cabelas Brand and one I purchased in Fort Meyers Beach. I seem to get hotter putting sunscreen on and clogging my pores than just throwing one of those fishing shirts on.

I enjoy the heat and wish it to be hotter, preferably dryer but I will never compromise with the sun. It wins everytime.

For clothing try an oldie but goodie: Seersucker. Im 64 and have the same issues. Just tried Seersucker shirt during a very hot, humid day. so good I turned around and bought 4 more (on sale).

we put the drop curtain on and crank the a/c down below and in the helm. Or, we keep an aft curtain up and do the same thing. Prefer the drop curtain so we can see out of the aft cockpit. Cool weather is a lot better because you can add layers to stay comfortable.
