We are thinking of the Luxury Weave carpet for our cockpit. We usually just go with the standard berber carpet but looking at options. Anyone have any real world experience with this carpet. We are located in MidAtlantic and have hot summers.

Thanks -

Hi
We have installed that type of carpet in our last two boats, really like it. It is warmer than the standard berber. Is it hot to the bare foot? Not in our opinion, but certainly warmer than the standard carpet. I would recommend a light color to help with the temp concerns.
We also eliminated the snaps on ours and used standard 2" wide Velcro to attach it to the floor. Works great.

I like my infinity covering.

Easy to keep clean. Does not absorb water. But it does get warm on a hot day.

Installed infinity last year. Love it, but yes, it gets hot in direct sun. However it dries quickly.

Another very happy Infinity customer, but it does get very hot in direct sunlight. Too hot for bare feet.
Keep something to slip on your feet handy and you won’t have any problems. Worth the very minimal inconvenience.
