Smartcraft gauge problem

Hi all, I have a 06 Sundeck with smartcraft gauges. At the bottom of the tach, is the smartcraft display. When it works normally it does a self diagnostic. Now, when I turn the boat on the screen lights up all black with no letters or numbers. Anyone else run in to this problem? The boat was just in for the trim cylinders getting rebuilt and an oil change if that matters.

That should not matter.
You can try rebooting it. You will need to disconnect all power to it (sometimes that means disconnecting all batteries depending on how you are wired). Typically clears up any issues.

I had an issue twice last year where all the gauges were dead.

Behind the dashboard is a round plug in the wire harness with a whole bunch of wires in it. You can access this from inside the helm storage area. Twist the collar and unplug the connector, clean with contact cleaner, reassemble with some dielectric grease, so far so good for me.
