EVA foam decking

@The Bill Collector did it with black 4200, looks really nice. I'm going to see how the edges hold up on ours first and then make the decision. I cut it at a slight angle which exposed the black edge pretty nicely.

I did the same on my swim platform with the grey with black stripes per the suggestion of the members who have also used it. Came out nice. The only thing I'm not happy with is that because you buy a roll, when its cut there is no black border surrounding the cut pieces. 9 out of 10 people wouldn't notice, but.......
A member suggested (and he did it on his) was putting black silicone or other adhesive around the border of the mat. Good idea but imagine it requires a real steady hand!!

Black 4200 and lots of painters tape on swimstep and eva foam...

Just finished my swim platform, cockpit and steps.

I just ordered some of the new 2nd generation beveled edge stripes design EVA Faux teak deck sheets. Pix in a few weeks.

Curious to see how durable those foam sheets are
I am hearing some early failure stories on the net with the Chinese EVA foam......curious also as to longevity.

I think the problem is the southern climates. I hear of real seadek failures down in florida too, up in NY where it's barely ever above 85 and we have a 6 month or less season I think it'll last a while.

I received a roll of the light brown foam before the Admiral told me she'd prefer the gray. A quick test revealed it seemed to scratch/gouge pretty easily. With two kids under 4, that may not last very long for me.

Do you mind sharing what your
Thanks,

Tonight I finally finished the swim platform with EVA sheets. Now off to the next project!
