Official 370 Express Cruiser Thread (1997-2000)

Anybody know the overall height of a 2000 370 express with a hard top? I signed a contract on one and I'm gonna need to get her transported home.

I had to do the same with mine when I bought her 2 years ago, and I seem to recall it being under the 14'6" restriction. I'll dig through some old emails to see if I have the info for you. I assume yours has radar? I had to remove my radar array, but the hard top stayed on.

Congrats on the purchase, send some pics when you can!

Kevin

I was in the same situation last month with a '98 370. I emailed Sea Ray customer service and they responded within 24 hours with the original spec sheet and diagram. This not only showed me the height, but dimensions without the radar array, dry weight, etc. Very helpful.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. Really excited to get her home. Just need to pass the survey and sea trial now.

Has anyone had their 370 express shipped without removing the arch/hardtop? According to searay specs it's 13'9" with the top on. Also they want to know the outside rudder measuremen.

I shipped a boat once from Jersey to Wisconsin that was 13'10" on the trailer. The shipping company will know what roads they can go on...Just get references from the company you use..

Shipped mine 2 years ago from Maryland to Seattle, hard top stayed on but I did have to have the radar removed. The trucking company had to use a low boy trailer, and the props had to come off, but the rudders stayed on.

GnrlPatton do you remember the overall height? Shipping co says it must load out at < 14'6" on trailor. Also do you remember the company you used. My boat is coming out of Maryland to Michigan.

I don't recall exactly but I remember having the same restriction and was under it. I want to say it ended up being like 13'9". I've tried digging up old emails from my broker but can't find the one where he gave me the height, I suspect it may have been in a text on my old phone.

Searay specs say the boat is 13'9". Then add the trailor height and they say its too high..

I couldn't find any of the old conversations with my broker, sorry. I will say that mine was under the limit, though I had to remove props and radar.

I used a company that my broker had used in the past, but I would not recommend them so won't share their name here. We had all kinds of problems with the driver. The company was the middle bid of 3 that I got, in hindsight I would have gone with the higher bidding company just to save the hassle.

Got. A company that can haul it without removing the top. Almost 4 k more than the other one but booked up till the end of June.

Anybody know the rudder spacing? Company wants to know if it will fit between the trailer rails.

She is FINALLY in the water!!!!

Hi there, Anyone else on this thread have the 454 horizons in there 370EC? I've owned the boat just under a year now and I have a couple of Questions.
#1. Cruising on Lake Michigan (49 degree lake water) I have A LOT of steam behind the boat while underway (26 MPH, 3500 RPM). I've heard this is normal for this boat, but compared to other boats, mine has a lot more. As soon as I come into the harbor, no steam. Impellers are new and Risers are cool. Normal?
#2. This boat is LOUD while under power. More of a drowning sound. Just gets a little annoying after an hour long cruise. Anyone else have an issue with engine noise?
Any solutions for this?
#3. After a long run, I throttle down and come into the harbor. Its about a 5 minute idle from the harbor mouth to my slip. About every 3 trips, my port motor will stall when I pull it back to neutral to start to back into my slip. The RPMs will go up, then go down and it stumbles and cuts out. It fires right back up. Any ideas on that issue? I'm thinking it could be the AIC valve.

Please let me know.
Thanks
