Has anyone solved the problem of the new style latched being 1/2 inch too short? I purchased the new style latches from FP Marine and they said there was a 1/2 inch extension but Hafele quit making them. Hafele says they were a special order and they are now out of stock. The latch is exactly the same but the actuator is not long enough to get the knob out of the cabinet.

I had the same issue and had some made by an online machine shop. The company is Unicorp Inc. thier part number for my part is
MMF2415RM06F12M6.0 They are aluminum not brass as the originals but at least I was able to get something to work. I think they are about 1mm too long as the pulls stick out slightly further than the originals but close enough for me.

Many thanks. The Amazon latch appears to have an actuator that is too short, but it is the old style so I will order one and see. Also will contact Unicorp.

Report back here if you get a chance on your findings.... Thanks

I ordered the extensions from Unicorp and they do work, but got to looking closely at the old latch and noticed it had an extension on it. Unscrewed it and put it on the new latch and it's perfectly. It's a 1inch extension by the way

On my boat the extensions were glued onto the studs on the latch so when I tried to get them off it just broke the stud off the back of the latches.
