Charleston to HHI on a 21 SPX

Just wanted to document our family trip on our 2016 21 SPX. We put in at WO Thomas Jr Boat launch on the Ashley river in Charleston, SC and took the intracoastal to HHI staying at the Marriott at Shelter Cove Marina. We made a stop for lunch in Beaufort which was beautiful and they have a free city dock to tie up to. Port Royal Sound was a little sporty but we made it without issue. On the way back in the early morning it was very smooth and we could run 35-40 mph easily without issue.

We left on Saturday morning about 9am and got to Beaufort at 12:30-1pm. After exploring Beaufort near the water and eating we left at like 2:30-3. We got to Shelter Cove round 4. Coming back on Sunday we ran much faster and made the whole trip in like 3.5 hours, but my fuel consumption was quite a bit more...I was on fumes in Charleston harbor. On the way down I left with a full tank, when I refilled at Shelter Cove it only took ~27 gallons.

The staff at Shelter Cove was awesome, we had arranged through Dockwa to tie up our small 21 SPX. They were waiting at the docks and had golf carts to carry our luggage and guests straight to the Marriott. My daughter thought she was living the big life...easy to impress. But it did make the trip very easy.

That's excellent. I'm at Wild Dunes in Isle of Palms right now. Came up from Beaufort on Saturday. Heading back tomorrow morning. Takes me a bit longer than you. I go a little slower.
