We decided, being on the boat in the rain is better than not being on the boat.

Finally had a decent day today. Headed south in the morning for a stop or two. Tropical disturbance moving north into the Gulf, so will find a place to tie up on Friday for a couple of days to let things calm down.

Hopefully tomorrow is sunny enough for some pics to share.

Headed to the boat for 10 days, hope it’s not as bad as they are saying....

we are on vacation next week in Holden Beach, NC.....hopefully this weather system will move out early in the week.....

but our winter was fabulous!

...but i also agree the Memorial weekend down here will be WET! bummer.. had planned on the hook whole weekend but now looking day to day..

Here’s to this system moving West into the the central Gulf...latest report is not very encouraging.

But we’re re still going boating*!!!! Break out the foul weather gear!

*I have an evac plan just in case this take s a turn for the worse

yeah winds in upper teens... thats my issue and genny shutting off, so no air in cabin during rain...

you in a 410... go enjoy!

We didn't escape the same weekend forecast in Chattanooga either - rain. Maybe we should have stayed in Cape Coral!! Long term fcst from Climate Prediction Center is for wetter than normal summer in the SE...

New boat, unfamiliar area, family on board...regardless of boat, this is likely weather below my personal minimums.

Around these parts (Sacramento River Delta), it's all about the wind, this time of year. No so bad, when you are out in it, but docking and anchoring can be a challenge. Still, even a bad day on the boat...

Is not looking as bad for tomorrow (Tampa Bay), I likely go out tomorrow as wknd not looking good.

Last couple of days have been great. We are at Anna Maria island currently.

Leaving in the morning to go back to Clearwater - get tied up before the weather comes over the weekend.

You gotta enjoy the dry days as you can.

Mark - we got out just in time...seems like the summer weather pattern arrived right after we left for Chattanooga on the 7th...

Carter,

It does seem like the Gulf is getting weather earlier this year.

Followed your trip via Susan and Deb's txt msg's. That was an epic trip. Saw your notes on segments, ty for sending that.

We are leaving at the end of June to move north getting out of the FL Hurricane season.

I'm going to the boat this weekend. Wind and rain won't bother me at all....cause the boat is still on blocks in the storage building.:(

bummer...

We are back in Clearwater tonight.

Tied up with a couple of extra lines. Couple of extra fenders.

Headed to the store in the morning to get an extra package of hotdogs and a gallon of ice cream.

Gotta be prepared...

Buncess pass today, was really nice and many dolphins around. Few people were going to stay camping there tonight.

Had a good time, then Gulfport for dinner at Tia’s. Rained while at dinner, but good on way back home.
