New Name and Graphics!!

Spoke to Jack today. Size, color and placement are a game time decision, so we’ll look once he gets there and make final decision. I thought I had the decide in advance.

Weather may suck, but we’re going to have a great tome!

We invited 25 people to the event on the last one we did. As I mentioned, a friend did the ceremony as seen here....

We offered a LOT of spirits to Neptune, 4-5 bottles if I'm not mistaken. Well not all goes to Neptune. Some has to go to the Gods of the 4 Winds....North, South, East and West. Some of the invitees were showing their displeasure at the amount going overboard and mounted a recovery effort....

The first part of the ceremony is about "expunging" the old name of the boat. Here the official "Ingot with the Old Name" is offered to Neptune. (I used a 1" knockout plug from an electrical panel with the old name written on with a Sharpie)

I had put the new name on the boat the week prior but the rules say it must remain covered until the end of the ceremony.

When done, we took 18 guests for a cruise.

I never drink when I am operating a boat. I feel my responsibility is to my passengers and crew. We had a couple of guests work as the crew for me. That many people on board with that much alcohol is like herding cats. Ask a couple of friends to help with food and snacks. Remember....no red drinks on board. Have fun....and take pictures

Your rules for the boat are exactly like mine. Good on ya for not drinking and driving the boat.

Renaming docs printed and metal tag ready to go.

Need to double upon appeasing the wind gods next week!

While under way or before taking the boat out I am usually drinking water, Snapple or Gatorade. However, when we get to our destination and all the chores are done it's time for the Tanqueray and tonic, some tasty tunes and a nice cigar.
