Light Removal

Hello, on the 550 sedan bridge I have 5 inch or so lights with chrome trim. I tried to spin the trim off with no luck. Is there a trick on removing these lights for repair? Thank you.

Most likely held in with spring clips. Meaning, simply pull the whole thing downward to remove.

Look at the trim ring. If it has 3-4 little “dot like” indentations in it, it twists off counterclockwise.

They are a pain! If no indentations, likely pull down and have the spring clips as Dennis mentions.

I used a strap wrench to loosen and put in red LEDs

I did see the little dots and figured it should turn to be removed. However, I could not budge it and I thought I would ask before I really muscle it. Thanks for the info.
