Do you have start/stop switches in the bilge? I always assumed mine were added by a PO but just in case they were factory. They're on the front ER bulkhead and will not let the engines start if in the wrong position.

Confused. Looking for some help... boat splashed in yesterday. Went down to fire up engines, gennie, etc. Engines will crank and crank, but not start. Both Port and Starboard. I did not winter work other than zinc changes. Boat ran great at end of season and right up to winterizing. Very odd. Turn keys on in salon and toggle down both ignition switches. Screens power up and show System OK. Then crank and crank, but no start. Seems like not getting fuel, but I didn't change any filters to allow air in and both of them doing it??? Any help would be appreciated. Dave
Fuel on under the stairs and at Racor filters? Batteries fully charged? If the fuel system is not primed, you can turn the ignition rocker from stop to run (not all the way to start) and let it sit about 8-10 seconds, do that 4 or 5 times and that should get the fuel to the engine. There's a bleeder valve to help let air out on the pump that probably has a rubber cap on it right before the fuel line that goes to the injectors. There's a tool for it but you can do it w/ flat head screwdriver. Get someone to do the sequence described above at the helm while pressing in on the bleeder valve an you'll know pretty quick if you're getting fuel (have some rags w/ you). The fireboy will also cut off the fuel and blowers if the fire extinguisher charge is low, disconnected or got discharged, but you'd likely get an alarm on that unless your alarm is jumped or disabled. Let us know what you find out.

..make sure the fuel pumps are engaging on the engine. You can hear the buzz when the switch is turned. you can also put your hand on them to feel them energizing.

We had a similar boat have the same issue last year and it was the fire system cutting-off the fuel as described above. Loved all the old-timers looking at us in disbelief when we described how the fire supression system works on a newer boat.

Turned out to be low batteries. Voltage to ECM was 9.8v. Too low. Once I ran gennie and charged batteries up, I was able to get both going. Strange thought that they were cranking what I thought to be normal. Had to throttle up half way when cranking, though, to get them to light. Thanks for all you help and support.

Glad you were able to find the issue. I have had the same symptoms, but had turned off the fuel selector valves.

Had a new alternator not keeping STBD batteries completely hot (gen not running), after a couple of hours STBD went into limp mode, wouldn't spool up. Thought it was an injector issue. After battery tender got them back at 100%, STBD spooled right up. Strong batteries at nearly 100% are apparently important.

Hey Quality Time, or probably any 2000-2004 480DB owners, if anybody is close to their boat in the next day or two, (I'm not) Will you take a quick measurement from the back side to see if a Maretron DSM250 will flush mount where the StarCraft/Diesel View is currently located? I know the hole will have to be enlarged, I'm looking for the vertical measurement.
I've attempted to attach the template, but the total vertical measurement on the dash side is 5.75" and 5.47" on the backside.

I know I have enough "side to side". Thanks in advance. I'll update with the install and whether it all works.....

Thanks so much, that would be awesome, should just be 4 corner screws and lift up slightly enough to get an angle of the wires connected to the lower left 3 rocker switches. Thanks!!!!!

Here are a few pics. Sorry I couldn’t get anything better but there wasn’t much slack in the wires and didn’t want to break my panel.

I have 6.25” of flat surface on the backside. My cut out is 5.25 with .25 above and another .75 below.

Thanks QT! This will help. Looks like your illumination wire may have dropped down, I'm re-attaching mine w/ some drops of silicone. The wire ties that bundle all the wires together on mine were cut loose so I have about 18" of slack to raise my panel. Guess I'll tie them back when I get the switches sorted out. Thanks Again.

Yes, the illumination wire has come loose on every Sea Ray that I've owned but I don't run at night so it's low on the priority list.

Has anyone w/ QSM11s added a Mercury-Mercruiser part# 84-8M0105243 Smartcraft gateway to NMEA 2000? If so, where did you plug it in? Thanks

I had some cup removed from my props over the winter. Pretty happy with my numbers even though I'm still not quite at Tony's recommendation. Pitch is 31" with #2 cup.

1/2 fuel, no water and light load since the boat was just launched. Water temp was 60 degrees.

2000 RPM
59% load
18.5 GPH
875 EGT
22 knots

It looks like a few of you have installed a Sharp convection microwave. Does anybody have the model # handy to save me some time?
