Why my sea ray 55 2008 leans to one side?

Check the bilge for stowaways!!!!!

Seriously, is the fuel balanced side to side?

Fuel and holding tank leval make a difference on mine.

Ditto. Plus, my gennie draws only from one tank and as far as I can tell, the water tank is not dead center either.

Trim tabs underway fix a very minor list almost effortlessly. A couple of dry martinis accomplishes the same thing at anchor.:smt043

As was already mentioned, uneven fuel loads will cause the boat to list. Also, when your water tank is full that puts the weight to port (on my 550). The holding tank, when full, does the same thing. Unless I'm headed out for a long trip I run with the water tank about 1/2 full or less and keep the holding tank pumped.

Every one sitting on one side of the boat or one very heavy crewmember.

Made any alterations? I was up in Maine a few years back, standing on the fuel dock when a fellow arrived with a fairly large trawler yacht. We got to talking while waiting for fuel and this fellow started soliciting ideas as to why his boat had a list to one side. We discussed water and fuel tank distribution, gear storage and so forth. Everything was where it was supposed to be. Finally I asked him how long it had been like that. His reply was that he noticed it right after they added a clothes washer and dryer.......

Fresh water leak that you cannot see can result in a hollow stringer full of water.

Dead giveaway is to cut on freshwater pump and close all faucets. If pump runs intermittently, you have a leak somewhere.

You all realize this is a 3 year old post put up by a “new” member that never came back to reply to his 3 year old responses??? Just sayin’.
