Hello all, I need to replace the starboard fuel tank level sensor but can't seem to figure out how to get to it - I actually can't even find it in the bilge or in the small areas adjacent to the helm due to hoses and other equipment in that area. I replaced the port fuel level sensor a year ago and and since the port storage cabinet was right over the sensor it was a piece of cake to get to it and took less than an hour to complete. The port side needed about 2.5 feet of clearance to pull the old one out of the top of the tank - I don't know how I'm going to find that kind of space on the starboard side without taking out the entire starboard side storage and upholstery adjacent to the helm. Has anyone replaced the starboard side fuel sensor on a 1996 450DA? Photos are of the Port side showing fuel sensor access plate in the storage locker versus starboard side next to helm. Thanks!

The side wall of the cockpit has to be removed. Also, there was no access plate on the stud side......we had to locate the sender then cut an access hole which we later fitted with an inspection port.

My starboard was accessed and replaced in the aft stateroom...the storage cubby on the starboard side has 4 screws ?

Thanks Frank and Mark - I like Mark's answer better. I'll try that first since it appears a bit less complicated but am prepared for the worse... Appreciate the feedback!

Frank - If I do end up having to pull that side section out I may be reaching out for a few tips on how that's done since I don't see any obvious fasteners.

My 450DA is a 98. I was able to remove the sender and replace it by just angling it out and in on top of the fuel tank. A close fit but it worked.

The picture of your helm shows two access doors down near the floor. the fuel tank sender access panel is abaft the panel closest to the stern. If you open it and look towards the stern you will see it
