More O-rings Than Needed

Mercruiser 5.0 w/ Alpha 1 Gen 2

I am going to rebuild my trim cylinders and the bag of parts shows one more o-ring than what Mercury calls for. Per their parts listing there should be 6 o-rings but there is 7 in the bag. Thoughts?

You'll have your answer when you take your cylinder apart
