Official 320 Dancer Thread

You have your 320 on a trailer in the driveway??
Yes sir, not that I am happy about that as it should be in the marina just about now. The pic with the wife is the day after we get the boat home from Lake Ozark.. The other pic is bringing her home. Beautiful tow from Lake Ozark by the way. IMG_1877.JPG FullSizeR.jpg No problems, she is now under a huge tarp, waiting for the snow melt.

So, I pulled off the cover in effort to try my hand at cutting and applying the vinyl graphics. A few years back I made a cnc router that I use in my hobby of building guitars. Any way, I made a adapter to mount the cutting knife from the wife's cricut pattern machine, mounted it on the spindle, drew the graphics in auto cad and cut it out. I used two different colors of vinyl and offset them, gives the appearance of a shadow font. I am happy with it. Hell, if I can't be in the boat, may as well be making something for it!

Do you need a special permit to tow a boat that is almost 12’ Wide, is the truck a 3500/350, seems like you would need at least that to tow a 15k lb boat. Wife is not going to like it if I start shopping for any F450 and try to tow our 320 to Tennessee!!

Needed oversize permits for each state I passed thru. Along with that, you need fuel trip permits. Total cost going thru a broker was $570. The route is identified in the permits and you can not vary off of them. Next time I will apply for the permits myself and save over half the cost. Interesting enough, there was not one weight station open the entire trip. The truck is a 2018 3500. Averaged 19 gpm on the trip down to Missouri, 9 mpg pulling her home. I did not expect much better, but the comfort and safety factor was well worth it. The loadmaster trailer is new and towed very well. You definately knew that boat was back there but it tracked very well. At 11'6", it ate up every bit of the lane width. One more pull 200 miles north if the ice ever melts off the lake!

Looks great!

9mpg is great when you compare it to our boats! My Tundra would only get 10mpg pulling my Hurricane 232 (23’ deck boat), probably 5k lbs total, with trailer and loaded. Made the trip to Tennessee and each year, from 2003 - 2015, for a week+ in July on Dale Hollow Lake. That’s the one thing I don’t like about my 320, can’t take it to Tennessee each year. Now, if I could just find someone with a cruiser on dale hollow lake that wanted to swap boats for the week!!

O.k. I admit it, I don,t know everthing about our new boat. Can somebody please tell me how to turn on the radio?
I have other 12 volt systems working, mabey an in line fuse or breaker? I am stumped, plus the wife is looking at me a bit funny. She said, you can't figure out how to turn on the radio, you sure you can drive a boat with twin motors. Nobody likes a smart a$@!!!

There is a speaker button at the helm (right pad) that powers the radio.

Unfortunately they don't have them either. However Acculift finally got back to me and they are sending me one on Monday. Cost $360 shipped.

What is the height of you boat when on trailer?

14'2". When I had the trailer built, they lowered the bunk mounts in effort to lower the boat as much as possible but it was not enough to get below the requirements for a oversize load.

ouch....still looks like winter to me. Hopefully with the warm weather we are now seeing, that should change.
I am planning on towing the boat up on the 24th. Hopefully there will be a hole in the ice to put.

The north half of the Keweenaw waterway is opened up but Portage Lake is still solid ice. My launch has moved from 1st week of June to maybe last week of May. Even then I'm not sure I'll head across to Houghton the same day, guess we have to wait and see. Come on summer.

My granddaughter is doing the Point to LaPointe this summer, we better get lots of sun and warm temps or it's going to be a cold swim.

Here's a MODIS pic from yesterday. The clouds are partially blocking things but you can see the bay inside Long Island is still pretty much froze over. Should be good by the 24th I'd think.

Does anybody have any experience with the freshwater system distribution manifold? I have a 2004 320 and the distribution manifold is made up of 10 individual pieces (6 cold and 4 hot) that are held together by 4 stainless all thread bolts. If it helps, the Sea Ray part number for this Sea Tech part is 35SG-1208-10. My question is, does anybody know what the individual parts are called that make up this manifold and where can I buy these individual parts aftermarket?
