I am shopping for a 380DA model years 2000-2004. All the 2000-2001 model have some level of delimitation of the Vitracore panels. Has anyone replace the Vitricore? If so, looking for an estimate. I want to consider this in the cost of ownership if we choose an earlier model 380DA.

Contact John at restoration marine. He has the material.

I looked at many 380/410's in the 2000-2004 range and almost all of them had some delamination. The 2001 410 I ended up purchasing is no different.

Restoration Marine is a member here and has done a good job documenting for to fix the stuff. However, the material is pretty pricey. It can be a DIY job if your handy, but to do some of the projects requires you to remove the offending cabinet. Finding the screws can be the ultimate needle in the haystack Easter egg hunt, but still doable. I would expect that a good custom canvas/carpet shop can also do this work for $$$/hr. Call your local shop.

There are others who have resurfaced the cabinets using wood grained resurfacing material that is PSA backed and usually heated to draw it tight. I think there are some example on here, I'll have to look again.

Lots of options. I have opted for leave it alone and when it bothers me, I have another beer.

Thanks for the feedback!!!

When I was looking last year for a small piece 6"x10" for a drawer face I could not locate any birdseye maple in the world... So. I ended up harvesting a piece from the middle of the aft stateroom closet door and covering the whole with a mirror.

Is the birdseye maple the light interior?
