They make custom hardtops for 370's

I have seen some custom tops that are very nice. Some are made with aluminum supports and a thin vinyl white top. They can be made to look like a factory fit and finish by installers who know what they are doing. Also very light so they do not detract from handling.

You end up finding anything suitable?
This thread reminds me of how we ended up with our Tiara. We had been looking for a SR 370 widebody. Looked for over a year and never located one. We saw our 3200 Open in the show room of Walstroms in Harbor Springs. It is essentially a high end version of the SR. They are nearly identical in specs and layout.

SBw1, I've seen you mention this a few times. The 1997 - 2000 Sea Ray 370 Express is 41'4" overall length and 14'2" wide. I've parked next to a 32 open a few times in Milwaukee, and yes they are similar in layout, but the 370 is quite a bit larger. Don't get me wrong, the 32 Open is an Awesome boat. I love the lines on all Tiara Opens.

We would have purchased a 3500 Open had there been one for sale when we were in the market. That is little more than a 3200 with an extended cockpit and a slight higher cabin top. Tiara used the same mold for both hulls and cut the endoff to make a 35 into a 32. A good friend used to park his 370 SR in our guest slip next to our 32 so I am very familiar with the SR. My comment is based upon the layouts of both boats which are very similar. Both boats can do the same thing almost equally well. The Tiara is a more comfortable boat because the seats and the sofa in place of a dinette are just more ergonomic than the SR. When you look at the SR side by side, the finish is not nearly at the same level as the Tiara. The transom door is a good example of the quality difference. Also no trim tape, just well executed gel coats. Helm, same thing. The 3200 and the 370 both weigh about 18,000 pounds. The 370 is about 3' longer than the 3200, but shorter than the 3500. That said, we would have been very happy with the SR370 because it has the same layout that we settled on years ago.
Financially, there is no comparison between the two boats. Our Tiara appreciated steadily in value or each of the past five years and we ended up selling it for very close to what we paid for it in 2004.
Sort of a long story to say that if you can not find a 370 with a hardtop, look at Opens.
