Does anyone have a Lowrance 3500 depth gauge display available? Not the bezel (they are all over eBay) but the actual display. Mine is losing segments and it worries me to wonder if I have 8.5' depth or 0.5'. I don't need the transponder. Just the LCD for the helm. Thanks.

I recently purchased a 1994 200OV with that unit. I'm getting no readings at times but all the digits appeared to be there. If I can't troubleshoot my transponder issue I may swap it out and have mine available.

Question for you since I can't find information online. Is the transponder shoot through hull or are you supposed to see it from the outside of the hull. New to me boat is bottom painted and I don't see the transponder from outside in the area it is glassed in the bilge.

It's a shoot thru. Mine is located just forward of the front bilge pump, in the little "basin" at the front on the bilge. It's close to the engine room wall. If you step between the engines, in front of the pump, you'll step on mine.

Ok. When I replace my depth finder I'll check back to see if you still need it. Will probably be end of season though.

scooper321,
I have my new depth sounder and as soon as I have a warm enough day, I am going to install it. Do you still want my used Lowrance 3500 dash unit?

John

Not sure I think my problem was the transducer. False reading. Willing to cover shipping and give it a go?

Sure thing. PM me with the cost to Baltimore and your Paypal email and I'll send you the address. Are the electrical contacts on the back in ok shape? I can solder or crimp to them?

Still snow on the cover so I haven’t removed it yet.

Freezing rain today, so ice glaze on the canvas. Forecast says we are coming out of the low 40s average by next weekend. I’ll make sure to make removing the 3500 the next thing I do.

pulled it today and sent you a PM. all the electrical connections look fine, and if not, plenty of wire for you to put connectors that match your setup on there.

I've had an eventful spring. Had some engine issues early on that kept me preoccupied. Finally got around to trying out the replacement LCD. Unfortunately, I don't think it will work. It's not the same display or controls as the one I have for the 3500:

And looking at the connections, they are close. The power and alarm look the same (although I have R, W, Bk and the unit has R, Y, Bk). But the signal connector is not plug and play:

I may be able to cut off the connector I have in my boat, and simply splice the wires together. But I need to learn more about what this new unit is, to see if that has a chance of working. I'm not cutting my current connector off just for a test.

Thoughts?

I hope it works for you.... if it doesn’t I might want to buy your transducer from your original set up. My 3500 just blinks and makes a clicking noise..... and can’t read the depth....

unfortunately, that's not coming out any time soon. I believe it's a thru hull ducer and even if I totally remove the display, I doubt I'll remove the thru hull. At least not unless it starts leaking...

I'm looking for the same if anyone has one for sale

Turns out this display was/is a Teleflex display, not a Lowrance. See the pic below. Thats a TF logo. So it won't work for me. If anyone needs a Teleflex 57060 display, let me know!
