We have a 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 370 which has Weaver davits mounted and the current dinghy is a Achilles 10' air floor with a 6hp Tohatsu engine. We've laid the engine on the platform when under power.

We are buying a RIB inflatable that is about 20lbs heavier and will keep the engine mounted and will use a Dinghyramp XL pull on mounted to the swim platform. Total weight will be about 180 pounds. Anyone know or think thai weight might be a problem? Any advice would be appreciated since the marinia/dealers seem not to be able to give me a straight answer. I don't know if there any information out there so I was wondering is anyone has a setup like I'm looking at.

I have a similar set up. Your platform won’t have a problem. The 2 issues I see is you loading it and the running angle of the boat. You may need help loading it, but you can test the weight back there with 180lbs of ballast. If I were testing I would test with 220 just to be safe.

For reference I have a 8.6ft Mercury with a 6hp four stroke and custom davits from Masterfab on this forum. I am using a 460 with twin Cummins 6ctas. I recommend you call dale (masterfab)

I have a 10'6" RIB Zodiac with a 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke. I also put it up on custom davits (similar to yours) and don't have a problem. I believe total weight is close to 200 lbs. I use a block and tackle system to pull it up with.

Just noticed how small it looks in that picture without a cover so I added one with the cover taken from the back standing on the dock .

My 330 (which may be similar to yours) has an upper an lower type platform. I recently found a set of Nautley Dingy Ramps, to but due to fact that my lower platform was shorter than 1/2 of the dingy beam, modification was in order. Another factor was height to clear the upper platform. I contacted Dale (Masterfab) and discussed the situation with him. When I arrived at his shop he had already sketched out his idea of the modification ,it was exactly what I pictured. Let me say upfront his craftsmanship is second to none! I have a 10 foot mercury solid floor with 8 Yamaha approximate weight 160 lbs. And after a year I see no stress or problems on the platform. I did add 3/16 aluminum plate under the platform for the Weaver quick mounts. They worked very well ,but need a little angle added ,as the platform is sloped ,then they get sent out for electroplating. Hope this helps.
