lifts/bunks

while i am waiting for Flathead Lake to rise back to boating levels, I will need to replace my bunks on the lift. My new boat is a 280 SLX with the 8.2 Mag. The lift is 10,000 LB and never seen this boat. I ordered new alum 14' bunks, replacing the older carpeted wood 14s. Looking for tips on bunk placement and maybe to confirm 14' is long enough??
