I purchased a Searay 34EC “86” last fall and this will be our first season on the boat. I purchased a Lawrence hook 7 chart plotter, fish finder at the Toronto boat show. The old boat has a Raymarine radar which still works, but the RC70 chart plotter gps isn’t. Looking forward to hooking up the new system, I just need some direction of how to connect into the 12v system. Appreciate any suggestions. I’m still keeping the radar setup.
Cheers Rob

You wont be able to use the analog Raymarine radar. You will need a Lorance unit to work with your new plotter

Hi Mike,
Yes I realize that, I will keep the systems separated just using the radar when needed. I want to set up the new Lawrence separate, just want to know we’re i can feed from, is there a 12v panel I can tie into.
Cheers

Don't have the same boat but i would think you have a 12 volt panel behind the door or hatch below the steering wheel. Thats where most seem to be. I have a swing out hatch there and if i disconnect the catch the door falls all the way open and the panel is right there.
