Saw an article today that Lexus (the car company) was bringing out a Lexus Boat. Starting with a 65ft model. Engineered by Lexus, built with engineering input by Marquis.

Trying to target there customer base for luxury cars with a complimentary yacht.

Didn't know if anyone else had seen the news.

Yep. No maintenance manual, components built in that are hard to reach to repair or replace............

A 5 year old Lincoln (or any other luxury vehicle for that matter), "only" has 26 modules in it, all networked together, with parts jammed into places in ways most can not even begin to imagine.

And You think boats are hard to work on huh?

Remember; Diagnosis is 85% of the job... Any body can Hang/through parts at it. And cost you money unnecessarily!
Well, maybe anybody. Then again, if it was that easy... everybody would be doing it.

Think, E.lectronic I.nterface M.odules...

I hope they learned their lesson the First time they tried boats. These had a Lexus engine. Brand only lasted a couple of years or so. But, you never know...

At least Ford offers a maintenance manual and an IPC for it's vehicles.

And like the car manufacturers are not just as bad. I have to remove the left front wheel and part of the inner fender to replace the burned out headlamp. If one did not laugh at this stuff you would spend all our time crying. LOL

Hmmm. Sounds like a Chevy Suburban. Had a small marker light out - dealer quoted almost $150. Then I learned why - it was all labor to remove assembly to get to the back.
