I just bought my Sea Ray and need to change out the fuel lines because the starboard side is weeping. I'm pretty sure these are all original so definitely need to change both sides out. The boat is currently 2 hours away so I don't have access to it. Does anyone know what size lines are currently installed? I know 3/8 is pretty standard, but they looked bigger than that. I am trying to get some hose and fittings on order to replace them all. Also. are the fittings at the fuel selector panel 3/8? Any other components I should look into replacing besides the obvious fuel filters?
Thanks

3/8 line......I had to buy new fittings for tank and water separator. I think 1/4" thread with 3/8 barb.

I double clamped mine.

Here is what I replaced mine with

Thanks Another Thousand. I made the 2 hr trip back to the boat yesterday to verify. all the lines were 3/8 but all of my fittings on the fuel selector panel and on the fuel filters coming off both gas tanks were 1/2''. So I bought all new brass fittings and just going to double clamp the barb ends as well.

One more Question, Why the 2 fuel filters coming off the starboard tank in 1st pic, and just one on the Port tank, and what is the inline bell looking device to the lower left of the fuel water separator in pic 2? It's not the fuel pump, and it has a wire coming off of it.

The second filter is for a generator. The bell looking device is a send unit for a fuel flow meter. Most likely Garmin GFS10. I replaced those type fuel filters with bulkhead mounted Racor filters. Much better filtering and easier to check for water.

Good call, I didn't think about the fuel line going to the gen., and yeah that fuel flow meter goes to the Navman chart plotter. I'm getting ready to get the survey done on it and complete my purchase but had to replace some weeping fuel lines before the Sea trial. So I'm just getting familiar with the set up. Thanks hottoddie.

Yeah, just make sure the new fuel line is J1527 A1 rated. Even for the alchohol rated line (A1) 10-12 yrs is about it. I replaced my fuel lines a year or two ago, the old fuel line was J1527 A1 and although it looked fine on the outside, the inside was just crumbling - my fuel filters looked like someone had sprinkled black pepper in them.

Replace ALL the lines including the fill hoses and vent lines. I did my fill hoses a few years ago and they were as brittle as a beer pretzel.

Good Call. Thanks

Yes! I didn't mention, but I also replaced the fill hose and vent line. Vent line was ok, but fill hose had a low spot where a little fuel would sit - it was in as bad a shape as the feed line.
