Hi,
I have a 2004 280 Sundancer. Neither the port switch panel nor the starboard switch panel have any power. As I was walking up to the boat today at the marina, I noticed the anchor light on top of the radar arch was on which was not on when I went on Thursday to check on the boat. Upon boarding, the back light for the anchor light was not on and I couldn't turn it off. I then figured out that nothing on that switch panel would work (water pump, nav lights, stereo, windless, etc) I then tried the switches on the port switch panel and nothing there either (bilge blower). However the engines do start and the switches for the engines are located on the port switch panel. All the gages, work, the VHF works. In addition to the anchor light that was on, the light in the trunk was on too. I unhooked the shore power and turned the battery switch to off with the hope it would reset, but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you haven’t fixed it sounds like you have the same problem I just encountered. Either bad EIM and or switch pads. Almost impossible to diagnose without replacment parts, which they no longer reproduce by the way. $800 and 4 days of my time to replace everything with toggle switches.

I had the same problem with my boat. I had to change out the push button pad. The only diffference is the replacement pad does not come in woodgrain anymore is was all black. I ordered one through a Searay dealer. About 400 dollars.

Any pictures of how you did it ?

I replaced every switch on my dash plus the wood grain panel and I think I only had about $400 into it. Searay-parts.com

I realize this is an old post but perhaps people are still watching it.

I had my starboard panel go south, so I did replace it with the black version. It as worked great for about a year. Then the problem was that it would behave erratic, push for the anchor retrieve and the arch light would come on.

Yesterday it just stopped working. Seems odd it would fail and not be that old. I wonder if I am missing something.

There are only 4 pins in the back of it, that controls everything...not sure how they do that. I wish I had replaced everything with toggles, like Turkj40 did. Ugh.
