I would like to know some real world specs, how fast are you running and rpms, wot vs your cruise speed and rpm, what props are you running, and what horse power engines, 3116 or 3126,also boats should be diesel type fuel, thank you

Hi

My 370 is an outlier. We had gassers and cruised at 18 mph at 3400rpms and guzzled fuel. We switched to 480 HP 6.7 Cummins QSBs. I now cruise at 2600rpm at 30 mph, at 65 percent engine load at .96 mpg. 3000 rpms is Cummins recommended cruise speed. I can hit 40 mph wide open at 3385 rpms. I would definitely recommend diesel
 
wow that is some great #s, I have 420hp cat 3126s and i am running 31 mph wot cruising at 26/27 mph at 2650. and a fellow boater around my dock said i should be around 34 to 38 mph, i wanted to compare to others 37 express boats similar to mine, did you repower to cummins

Hey JBJ,
I just signed the purchase agreement on a 2000 370 express hard top with 450hp cummins. After reading about your repower with diesels i decided to hold out for diesel power. First one i found with the 450 cummins power. I'm really excited to see how she performs.
