I hope this finds everyone well I am getting ready to get my boat ready for the spring One of the projects I want to do is to replace all of the vinyl striping on my boat I am looking for suggestions on where to purchase this as I need three colors Thanks in advance Conard

Try BoatUS.com
+1

That is where I am getting mine. They'll even send you color samples for free. They seem to be reasonable in price and the rolls come in 100'.

I should've done mine this past weekend when it was in the 40s & 50s. Oh well. 8 weeks & 4 days until launch, assuming there is no ice in the harbor!

Good luck with your project!

I get mine from hullstirpes.com. Awesome service. You can get up to 4 stripes all applied to one backer to make spacing and install much easier. They have a page on their website to enter the color and size with spacing you are looking for and will send you a quote within hours.

Your link didn't work for me, but I found them.

I sent them a request for samples & a quote as well. We'll see whose colors match better. Hull Stripes seems a bit more expensive but maybe their product is better. We'll see when I receive their samples.

The BoatUS site seems more user friendly to me. That's my $0.02.

Try a local sign shop too. They usually have a large selection of vinyl colors and can cut it to just about any width and length you need.

I am having a sign guy make mine. There are different quality levels as well so you may have a better experience with a local shop.

The nice part about hull stripes is if you are applying more that one stripe, the stripes come on one roll with a heavy overfilm that makes application easier. Straighter stripes and no fuss keeping them the correct distance apart.

Having installed one set on a 260DA...if I had it to do again, I would go with the 2-stripes on 1-roll with the overfilm. I got them on straight doing them separately, but it was definitely a struggle.

Before and after on hull stripes replacement. Definitely recommend hullstripes.com

I did mine and my advice is have a helper. It is a two person job. I used soap water to "float" stripe on as I worked.
Use the fade line or blue painter tape as a guide.

I requested 5 different color samples from Hull Stripes. They sent me a shit load of other colors. Oh well, back to Plan A.

Done by a local vinyl wrap company.

The old 90's blue stripe was removed with a heat gun and a plastic scraper, and then replaced with an extra wide metalic copper band and a narrower dark graphite stripe.

What colors are you looking for?

Ed
I wish that I knew what the colors were called. One is a dark, dark blue and I'm not sure what the other two colors are and I'm having a heck of a time to find something close. I don't want to change all of my striping, just at the waterline. If I find something close, they're are far enough form other striping that I think that it would be okay.

Do you have some close up pictures? I do a lot of re-striping of boats I might be able to help.
