Is there an official Forum/thread for 1994-1996 Sea Ray 370 Express Cruiser?

I'll have to work on that! Maybe i'll try and setup a thread! Was trying to hear from others about any and all common issues they've had with their boats as well as what type of upgrades they've done. I got a 95 express with 7.4s going on year 3 this summer. About 200 hours on it the last two summers just under 600 on the motors upgraded Radar, Stereo and added a 32inch down below attached to the access panel behind the helm. Looking to upgrade the interior as well. But i love the boat! Handles beautifully on Lake St. Claire!Nope. Welcome to Club Sea Ray! It is nice to see another 370 EC even if it is sideways in your avatar.
We bought a 93 Sundancer last August what are the main differences between them? everyone seems to think after 93 they are different boats.Nope. Welcome to Club Sea Ray! It is nice to see another 370 EC even if it is sideways in your avatar.
How long have you had yours? Any major problems or upgrades over the years? The fabric interiors of all the mid 1990s boats looked like something Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) cooked up when he was hallucinating.
We got lucky it was a one owner boat and the guy ordered it with virtually an all white interior so no funky colors. The oval windows would have been nice but we got such a good deal we could not pass it up. I do wish we had the Cherry cabinetry though instead of the Euro white with maple trim. The fabric interiors of all the mid 1990s boats looked like something Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) cooked up when he was hallucinating.

You really have done a lot.I have owned it since 2002. I believe most owners would tell you that the 37' hull was one of the best Sea Ray made. In regards to upgrades:
2003 -Installed TNT Hydraulic lift
2003 -Added Raymarine Rudder Indicator
2004 -Rebuilt the top end of each motor with Edlebrock Marine Aluminum heads/intake manifold, switched to electic fuel pumps and Holley 800 cfm Marine carbs.
2005 -Upgraded the interior from white to Sovereign Cherry. Replaced all the bunting and curtains
2006 -Added Flo-Scan Fuel Meter
2007 -Replaced Battery charger with Xantrex 40 amp charger (this is a must do)
2008 -Added a Side-Power Bow Thruster
2009 -Replaced Quicksilver Generator with a Westebeke 7.0
2012 -Replaced Reverse Cycle HVAC
2014 -Soda Blasted 14 years of hard paint off the bottom.....not a single blister and repainted with ablative
2016 -Added a Side-Shift Stern Thruster. Integrated with Side-Power Dual control.
2017 -Switched all the batteries (6) to Optima Marine. Replaced oil and water heat exchangers.
2018 -Extending trim tabs 3.5" and adding Bennett drop fins
I still enjoy working on it and it is a fun boat to have.
There’s a link in his post for restoration marine click on it there’s pics there looks like he owns or works at a company that makes panels for sea raysYou really have done a lot.
How did you do the cabinets do you have pictures that is one thing on my future to do list?
Also how hard was it to install the thrusters?
Thanks
Ed
Thank you, I just went to your site and ordered the sample pack. That will really modernize the interior.I have owned the 370EC for 16 years which means I have seen just about everything that can go wrong on the boat happen. So if you have a question....please ask.
The secret porthole behind the medicine cabinet is a real gem. When it leaks.....it puts water into the GFI outlet under the medicine cabinet! All the portholes, fittings and hatches needed to be rebed. The boat is after all 24 years old.
I also forgot to mention the PSS dripless seals......those are another great add-on.
In regards to the cabinets......that is a more interesting story. I really liked the late 1990s and early 2000 cabinet work that Sea Ray came up with. They used a company/product named Vitricor for laminate which has since gone out of business. The original patents actually belonged to a company called Nuvacor. After some negotiating with the owner, we struck a business relationship for the marine aftermarket and created RestorationMarine.com in 2006. The idea behind the company was to continue to produce a number of the original laminates that Sea Ray used in production from 1995 to 2004. Nuvacor supplies laminates for major construction projects and is out of the boat business but RM gave it a channel to the industry.
RM is a niche business which has sold a lot of Sovereign Cherry (even though we have a lot of other finishes) around the world. Sovereign Cherry was Sea Ray's most popular finish at the time because it went with virtually everything. In the US, most of the orders come from MarineMax, woodworkers, Owners and even Sea Ray. We even came up with a way to retrofit it to older Sea Rays which is shown on the restorationmarine.com site.

I do have a few questions!
First
What brand and model hvac did you put in and what was the cost, easy install?
Cruisair STQ16-HV self contained reverse cycle cooling/heating unit (List price: $2460) $1,968.00
Qht Display, Grey (List price: $227) $181.00
10' CXP display cable $19.00
Control adapter plate (Marine Air Passport to Qht orElite) $44.00
Cruisair 2kw auxiliary heat module, 7" duct (List price: $505) $395.00
2009 Prices. Straightforward installation. I added a 2kw auxiliary heat module to the boat so that it could produce heat without running the pump and reverse cycle.
What flo scan gauge did you install and how did you install? I see there’s a lot of debate as to how and where to put the flo scan reader in
This one $430 with sensors in 2006: Installed it by making a plate to replace the Datamarine depthsounder on the dash.
Did you reinstall factory cleats when you rebedded?
The stern are almost impossible to get to and you need someone in the cabin to hold to keep the nuts from turning for the others. I did the ones I could get access to which are the bow and mid cleats.
I hate how small my cleats are specifically the ones on the slant off the back of the boat sometimes I have boats tied on the side and smaller boats tie off the back my cleats can barely handle two lines, my buddy has a newer 30foot dancer with cleats twice the size as mine! Would like to upgrade them to larger cleats all around.
I agree but getting to that part of the boat with the engines, generator and water tank in place is a serious contortionist challenge.
