In the past I have had a couple of apps that I used.

General - state of the weather I use Marine Weather from Accuweather.

Have used windyty (that might be the old name, think it might be windy.com now).

Have used buoydata some.

What is the best these days?

Looking for Wind, Wave (height and frequency) forecast information. More detail that what may be in the summary forecast.

Prefer ios apps.

Thanks,

Sea Tow has a decent free app.

I boat on Lake Superior and use RadarScope for the weather. No tide, wind or wave info on that app though. For wind I use the Windy app.

I like Windy, but I prefer PredictWind. I just use the free version all I want is the wind forecast by hour so I can line it up with tides so I can travel when the wind/tide are together and less chop... Or at least know to add more time if they are opposed.

Been using it that way for years and have found it to be much better then our coastal forecast on predicting wave activity. Our Coastal blanket statements wave height which is right, but may only be for a 1-2 hr window, so knowing the wind/tide direction you can travel and be much more comfortable...

Will take a look at Predict Wind - have not seen it before.
