Hi All!

Just wanted to introduce myself. New here with a new to me 1998 330DA. I got her about a month ago and in that time have worked out a few kinks, taken a 215(ish) mi trip from Astor, FL up the St. John’s and down the intercoastal to my new marina on Merritt Island, and lurked this forum for multiple answers to problems. I plan to transcribe all the problems and solutions I’ve found thus far to hopefully help others with similar issues.

Boat is a ‘98 330 running 7.4MPIs and Velvet Drives. 4.7 Westerbeke gen which is the next project.

Now, pictures!

Hello. Welcome.

Welcome.

Looking forward to seeing a fixer-upper thread.

I would suggest doing some investigative work and find all the manuals for each system aboard to assist in your recommissioning.

Welcome to the group! Nice looking boat and it looks familiar...

Josh

Thanks for all the welcomes!

Ididntdoit: I was just reading your post about Bluepoints lift and wondering if I should’ve been there for dry storage. I planned on it with Harbortown, but they couldn’t lift me with inboards.

No other big trips yet, but would appreciate any on the water restaurant recommendations. Parents just came into town to play for the weekend, so we’re going exploring.

Little Ducky: I was lucky enough to get the SeaRay bag with everything. It helped significantly pulling apart the windlass over the weekend.

Welcome to CSR, very nice boat. Congrats. Let me know if you have any questions regarding your Westerbeke. I have the same genny and have learned much about it over he years.

Welcome!
I keep my boat at Harbor Town in Merritt Island; docks are a bit run down but I really like the folks around me.

Thank you!

I’m on B Dock and down most weekends. Feel free to drop by and say hi if you feel so inclined. I’m with you about the docks, but everyone I’ve met so far has been super friendly.

Good memories at H-Town - Hope to make it back soon, but for now the family is having too much fun a little further south.....Why don't you want to keep it in a wet slip with the inboards? Growth does not seem to be much of an issue that far north and in the barge canal.....plus im sure they could "short haul" you with the travelift when necessary to change zincs and powerwash.....just make sure your bottom paint is recent and in good shape......as for a trip - a short one would be through the locks to check out the port and find a slip in the "cove" and hit up Grills for some food and pina coladas - maybe hit ski Island on the way there or back......even better would be cocoa village - nice town docks/marina and plenty of great restaurants......a little further in Sebastian is Captain Hirams if you want a party - take pics and report back......we like stories and pics!

Welcome and nice boat! Thanks for the pics. Enjoy!

Hey glad to see someone else here from Brevard. I'm over in Port St. John. Be careful in the Indian and Banana rivers as the go shallow very quick. We like to head down to Sebastian cause the water is much clearer. Let us know when you guys are heading out and maybe we can meet up.
