Official 320 Dancer Thread

Tinalan,
That switch is to activate the on board fresh water system on some smaller boats. SR used a universal switch pad. As your fresh water switch is down in the cabin, it is an extra. If you are electrically savvy, the switch will activate a breaker in the ECM under the dash. I believe it will carry 10 or 15 amps. I found there was a capped off wire coming from the harness out of the ECM that it actuated. I found which breaker / fuse it was by taking the cover off the ECM and doing a trial and error. As I had already used my forward and Acc 1 for other components - I used this one for my Autopilot. Hope this helps.

I am looking for an 06 or 07 320 with 6.2 V-Drives...white or blue hull. Any sellers on this thread?

Get a white hull...Never again with the blue hull.. Too much up keep, Why did you sell ur 05? Is there a difference in the 06 to 07

I kindly disagree with Siboatguy. It does take more time and work to keep it up however it's a boat.. This is my 2nd blue hull and I'll never go back to white if I don't have to.

2002-2007 are the same models.

We just bought a 2007 320, it is about 1000 lbs heavier than earlier models. The hull specs apear to be the same, not sure where the extra weight came from.

Weights, as stated from the manufacturer are almost always, shall we say...optimistic? My guess is they just changed the spec to be slightly more accurate.

I own an 07, my guess is the weight is the same across all of the years. They maybe included in the later years all of the options, such as a generator. The differences are minimal between years and is primarily cosmetic and very subtle at that point.

I discovered today that I have a locked starboard engine that will have to be replaced. So, 2 questions:
1) does the engine hatch have to be removed to replace an engine (I assume that it does).
2) where is the best place to buy a 350 MPI?
Thanks all,
Chan

All you have to do is stand the hatch straight up and tie it off in both directions.... And the only place i would buy author motor from is a Mercruiser dealer... Make sure its a mercruiser rebuild or new..or you be changing it again in a matter of a few hrs. But i hear you cant get new anymore because they stopped making the blocks

Just fig out how to post pics... Here are some..

I have a maroon hull, that is painted with Awlgrip. Very low maintenance and will not fade. PM me if you are interested.

Anyone replaced the bilge pump under the generator? Trying to figure out how to best get to it. From behind the generator or in front of the generator. The pump works but is not pumping very hard.

Getting ready to do do that now. Very tight in there and my arms aren't long enough. So I'm hiring a bilge rat to do it for me. Replacing with a Rule 2000 and seperate float switch. Found out those pumps with the internal sensor stop working if there is any dirt in the bilge. Also going to replace the electrical wires back to the ER dc panel. I was originally going to mount the pump and float on a piece of starboard but there is no room to do it.

It's time for manifolds and risers! Could anyone help me with part numbers and good sources for the parts? Gonna do the 5kw Kohler genny as well, so if you can guide me to info on that, would be much appreciated. 2004 320, 350 MPI, FWC, V-drives. Thanks to all in advance.

I'm only purchased my 2006 320DA a month ago. Can anyone explain how I can add a boarding handle sock into the gunwale without climbing into the engine compartment ?

I have a parts book at home, and I am betting it applies to your engine. If you still need the numbers, provide me the serial numbers on your engines and I will see if they match my book (my engine is the same but a 2006/07)

I am not sure what you are asking, I think you are trying to add a boarding handle, and the ones I found with a quick internet search look like they typically just use one of the rod holders. My guess is you are asking how to add what is a rod holder to your boat? That would be a question for someone else, I know how to do it, make circular hole in the fiberglass and drop the rod holder in with appropriate epoxy, and then use wood screws to secure, but I have no idea how to avoid destroying a valuable piece of wiring, tubing, etc potentially hidden beneath the surface, and I am not sure what tools you would use to create the hole.
