Too crazy for me, I also went on a chartered boat long ago, NO WAY would I ever go out there in my boat! Too many rookies and pirates of all kinds!
 
We elected to stay in Texas last weekend, moved our trip down till this week.
 
yes, it looks crazy and is but I had no problem and didnt see any either! i dont drink either so i was on the offensive/defensive...lol
 
Apparently, on port side of the pirate ship, there was a guy who ran in to the Sherriff's boat. I stand mid ship on the starboard side of the Jose' and all I saw was a guy in a blue Intrepid leave a nice 1.5 foot anchor rash down the side of another boat. It was a very mellow cruise this year, not a lot of sights. The parade was spectacular. All in all a great day for the City of Tampa. We had the Stanley Cup on board the Pirate Ship with us.

That looks like a great place to anchor a short distance away and take the dinghy to enjoy the fun. I'm not into the pirate thing, but I do enjoy people watching at an event like that. People having fun are always fun to watch.
 
YouTube : (Jobbienooner) up here in Michigan. You talk about a sh!!t show. I went in 2014 with my 310 and said to myself ( I went twice this year, first and last). I walked out on my bow to look around and there was a guy hanging from my anchor line (8' to 10' of water). I asked are you ok? He says yeah just resting on my way back to the boat. Do you need a life vest I ask. No, I'll rest over there and took off swimming. I made sure he made it to the next boat and then told the sheriff patrol that was passing by that they may want to keep an eye on him (have know idea where the boat he was looking for was).
 
I have never participated - but have heard it is similar to Mardi Gras type of feel. Complete with the - throw me the beads concept.

Is that true? If so, there are so many pics we should see....

It's true but not so much during the day parade. You'll find all that at the Knight Parade this Saturday evening. Plenty of "bead collectors" on the loose doing whatever they can for those street beads.
