Retro fitting cabin lights with LED's

Thanks for the link! I ordered them and replaced the bulbs this weekend, they look great and fit perfectly.

That's great Kevin...We have to run the genny all the time since the refrigerators and freezer are 120v, so I am just replacing the halogens when they burn out (which is fairly regularly!!), and the LEDs do match well with the original Halogen G4s...

Hi guys. Just got 2003 260 Sundancer. Bought replacement LED 1141 for the stock incandescent 1141 cabin lights from Amazon. Did not work. Found that on the Cabin lights switch/sockets positive and negative was reversed. Apparently incandescent work either way but for LED the middle post must be positive and the metal socket negative. Is it safe to change this so LED lights will work? Assume someone reversed these in panel/switch sometime. Thoughts? Thanks, Tim

Yep, just reverse the polarity. Some LED manufacturers are beginning to produce their bulbs with internal bridge rectifiers, meaning they're no longer polarity-sensitive. However, in your case, if all the lamp fixtures that are wired backwards, you can either switch the wires at each fixture, or reverse the polarity at their source, assuming they're all on the same branch.

I just flip the bulb around

Do this at the panel, after you verify that all of the fixtures are reversed. This is wired wrong regardless of led or not.
